From the tigers fans perspective, they seem pretty down about losing Maybin "for nothing".
 
Summary: Made of glass, but definitely was a positive presence in the lineup.

It likely has something to do with his speed, it's not uncommon to see guys with speed have full swing 55 foot IF singles.   Fast/quick guys tend to have outlier BABIP seasons somewhat frequently.  

Escorbar and Maybin make a very nice combo in front of Trout/Pujols/Calhoun.
 

Basically Maybin is the poor mans Dexter Fowler at a fraction of the cost. There's no way he's leaving Chicago either.

Yeah, I think this is how Eppler intends to fill out the upper levels. Claim a bunch of guys being DFAed and then try to sneak them through later on in with another DFA in hopes of outrighting them to the minors.

I strongly agree with this summary. I'm a big believer in Bedrosian. I hope to see Chacin back in a relief role, I could see him becoming really good at that actually. But I don't buy Guerra or Ramirez as anything other than decent middle relievers and, as you say, it would be silly to expect anything useful from Street or Morin. We're extremely short on talented relievers and, while there are a couple of guys in the minors who we could see in the 'pen for part or all of next year, we're going to need to look at established external options to have any hope of having a decent bullpen.
I expect Jansen will end up signing a pretty insane contract and I would probably prefer the Angels stay away from that. Greg Holland is an intriguing option, but it is painful just imagining the amount of 'Madson/Burnett 2.0' posts his signing would lead to.

Getting a healthy Richards back in 2017 is the equivalent of signing an ace in free agency. It's hard not to be giddy at this point.
We're a Skaggs or Meyer breakout and Nolasco repeat away from being a dangerous team, even without Heaney and Tropeano.

This cannot be understated. As much as I want this team to win, there are a ton of things that are likely to go wrong in 2017, which could seriously impact the team beyond that, but a great season from Richards could at least yield a significant deadline return. 
Anyone know about Tanaka's arm now? He was having trouble and was shut down at the end of the season.

He only wanted to play near SoCal.
