  1. This one seems like a nice one to have. https://www.ebay.com/itm/233665994671?hash=item3667941faf:g:8jMAAOSw8zNegO-0
  2. General response not directed TO JF. . . You can find all kinds of World Series rings for sale out there. The problem is exactly that. There are so many different versions. The player rings are the most coveted. But there are other versions that could have been issued to executives or just people on the team staff/team employees, etc. You can also find prototype “salesman” versions that exist because a ring company was trying to land the contract and they had sample examples made to show. Sometimes you can find a player version ring for sale where they will not openly disclose what player owned the ring. You have to either buy it to find out or demonstrate that you are a very serious buyer and they will tell you privately. I think this is because many times a player parts with their ring for money when they need money so it isn’t really a proud moment for a player to be selling their ring. Anyway it is a fun thing to look for and check out from time to time. I got close to buying one once, but I couldn’t quite pull the trigger.
  3. If you build it, they will come. Heaney starts it, yeah that’s dumb Hitters kill it, cause he’s a bum. Yankees feel it, we are numb.
  4. Random memory: Back in the day at CSULB, some dude would show up at all the 49er basketball games dressed as Michael Jackson and dance and impersonate Michael Jackson. The fans would chant “Tatsuro!” to egg him on to do more. I thought he was kinda creepy and couldn’t understand how that could be your regular identity. Just weird.
  5. Food check? What are people eating? I have been on a grilled wing kick. Two flavors, regular hot wing and lemon pepper.
  6. The shine was so far off that dime I had almost forgotten about him. He is a starter right?
  7. Counting numbers. The answer is in your own question. Even given Trout missing many games over that 5 year span, he earned 5th, 4th, 2nd, and 1st in MVP voting. Kingman was absent in three of the years and finished 18th and 19th in two of the seasons. It is a stupid comparison, period.
  8. The question is, does anyone have a worse comp for Mike Trout than Dave Kingman? Jesus, if this doesn’t stand out as an absolutely absurd comp then you probably have no idea who Dave Kingman is.
  9. To be clear, I didn’t mean having the same number of cats now. Just over age 25-29.
  10. At this point, Jo Adell’s best comp over two seasons is the 1978/1979 version of Freddie Patek. 3 total homers for Adell so far and 3 total homers for Patek in those two seasons.
  11. Stopped reading at “best comp is Dave Kingman” Sorry, but there was no reason to keep reading past that.
  12. I somewhat roll my eyes with the “shut him down” to “not risk it” stance I hear about Trout. As if the Angels were ever considering putting him on the field in a condition that risks his health.
  13. Just because Cobb is here now, for me, doesn’t make him necessarily the “right” veteran leader for the young staff next year. I’m fine with using one of the rotation spot for a veteran leader. But it really could be so many different players and I would prefer to aim higher than Cobb.
  14. If he identifies as left handed, will announcers “respect that” and refer to him as left handed when he pitches?
