Results. My arm hurts watching him throw but he has been effective. I would give Loup a few more chances and if he sucks, bye. How does a guy say he pitched scared, like a little bitch or whatever he said. You're a professional pitcher. You don't get to throw scared. It not an option. This team needs a mental coach to build confidence.

Can't wait for robo ump. The strike zone sucks major donkey ...k.

What was the exchange between Herget and the the ump at the end of the inning? I would let the Glitch pitch the start of the 8th.

Also weird… Ward taking all the way on 3-2…
Very wierd. Is it possible he thought it was 3-1? But even if he thought it was 3-1 you would still expect him to work on his timing. Foot up, foot down.

4 Ks, no BB, no hits and no runs for Canning would be a great day for the Angels. Lets go Grif!

If Adell has somehow (hopefully) figured out hitting then buy him a 1st baseman's glove.
-
If David Fletcher hits .295 with a .320 OBP, I will consider it a good season. He is not the kind of hitter that has the ability to look for a walk. Making him try to be something he is not may be detrimental. Let him hack.

What does a Game Planning Strategist do? How much money do they make? How many hours do they work?

I say trade him for a prospect pitcher and a bag of balls. Don't need him moping around Salt Lake with his piss poor woo is me attitude. If I was the GM, I would have started to make phone calls the minute I found out about his IG shenanigans'. He had a chance to preform and failed. He could have taken his situation to motivate himself but he chose to take the low road. BYE!
And the team that gets him would be wise to buy him a first baseman's glove and a new hitting coach because he simply cannot play outfield. I am not saying he would work out at 1st base either but you gotta try something.

He did it because he is feeling sorry for himself and he is hoping to be traded. He is a $5 million mistake. Angels should take whatever they can get asap. His value is as high as it will ever be.

How do the Angels tell him they love him they want to make him an Angel for life and simultaneously entertain trade offers. I was never high on his hitting (swing). I was wrong but I still think the Angels future is better off trading him. We are not suppose to make the playoffs this year with him so why not roll the dice and try to trade are way into the post season.
Also keeping him is a huge risk. If he were to go bust, that would most likely keep the Angels out of the playoffs for many years to come. We been burnt enough times on long term contracts. Sell high. Let's get Trout to the playoffs now.

Shoei alone brings in some $200 million for the Angels in revenue.
You gonna let that walk out the door?
He has to resign him.
Where did you get the $200 million number from?

"He didn’t know how to scoop a ball in the outfield. He didn’t know how to get into throwing position."
He should have learned this stuff ^^^^^ when he was 11 years old. How can the scouts be sooo wrong/blind?

I didn't read all the post but the team is located in SoCal. That alone is good enough reason to have games broadcasted in Spanish. You don't need a marketing guru to figure this out just common sense. Not having a high quality spanish broadcast is derelict.

His best season was in AAA back in 2017 when he slashed .305/.377/.567 with 19 HR in 105 games.
Those ^^^^^ are good numbers. My guess is some boneheaded hitting coach tried to "fix" him somewhere along the way and he ended up with that horrible looking swing. He can only get better with his new swing.

This is why he is a great addition to the Angels. Maybe some of this will rub off on Redon.

That doesn't look like Jo Adell jumping on a box!
But that said, that's cool. Hopefully he's getting reps hitting against breaking balls and whatnot.
Whoopee. He is strong. Those swings don't really impress me. He looks tight and unbalanced to me. I real good hitter would be much more relaxed and balance. Pitching machine would be weak sauce for them

No other team is going to buy the dream that he has hidden value. Why? Because he doesn't. The Angels have exposed him and his shortcomings bringing him up to face ml pitching. Defensively he is horrible in the outfield. Get him a new hitting coach and buy him a 1st baseman glove.

I guess others thought Kevin Gregg shouldve/could've been better. He made 22 million in 13 years in the bigs and never was very good. He also missed with a right cross when Ortiz charged the mound jaw first.
