  1. I know Bumgarner is good, but this showing may be a harbinger to the embarrassment experienced by the Royals. The Giants know all about the Big Dance and this is when the Royals, a team not as good as the Tigers, Angels, or O's, will show all their flaws that weren't shown to the AL teams. I spoke to a Giants fan yesterday and he was thinking if they won the first game they would sweep. We both acknowledged that the Royals have yet had a punch to the jaw and could go down for the count quickly after the first blow.
  2. I really hope it isas he's my favorite player. He's a complete 2nd baseman and I think he'll be solely missed if he goes elsewhere.
  3. I haven't had a KC pick correct since the Wild Card, but I'm going against them again. The magic is over! Giants in 7.
  4. I just think it's a big glob of luck too. They're winning games by the skin of their teeth. They've had little offense, but just enough to get by. I think a big key is that they haven't seemed to make any mistakes defensively which is incredible in itself. Don't get me wrong. I'm not envious or hateful of them. It just seems like it's a storybook someone is writing.
  5. It's hard to believe that after all this KC will lose two in a row at home.
  6. I also like the idea. He would be just another option for us although I still think we should get a surer thing since Richards won't likely come back until the summer.
  7. True, but 7 in a row? They are some lucky sons of...
  8. ...are making us look good. I don't believe this is happening. The Royals?? If they're this good, why didn't they win their division?
  9. It's hard for me to believe that hamilton just forgot how to hit. That happens very rarely.
  10. Yeah, I had a dream last night that they were still playing (the Cards - and were winning 2-0 early)
  11. Ibanez made it to the Series with KC?
  12. He wanted to play in the playoffs and hoped that he could be useful. It didn't work out. He did hit some balls somewhat hard.
  13. Probably, but remember not only the fans get frustrated and say dumb things.
  14. I may get burned for this, but I agree with him. The fans don't know what he had to do just to get on the field. They're frustrated over everything and he's the poster boy for failure. If his teammates understand him, then how can I judge him?
  15. I agree junky. Like I said, I think it's possible they had the A's on their minds. When KC won, they weren't able to perform like they would ordinarily.
  16. Are our catchers really that bad? I know Conger slumped, but I still think he can be an important cog.
  17. Why is HK continually called out in these diatribes? He's not your prototypical clean up guy, was robbed by Aoki and was one of many to not hit. HK is one of the best second basemen in the majors, yet some still want him gone for some unknown reason.
  18. I don't understand why anyone would want to break up the Kendrick/Aybar tandem. Look at the year they've had.
  19. ...firing the manager will make the team much different/more effective? If so, why?
  20. What should they do, fan? What do you expect to see?
  21. I don't think we need Hunter nor should we get older. I look forward to another year with Cron. He could be a big addition to the club. I think we just need another viable starter just in case Richards needs more time to heal. Like you said, some tweaking toward the bench and bullpen.
  22. Is there a real big difference in these two players? If so, would someone elaborate? Hamilton is younger and supposedly injury-free. I don't see why he can't have a comeback season like Pujols had.
  23. What I'm saying Storm was the Angels mentally prepared to play KC? If they had their minds on Oakland, they may not have had the offensive problems. Not sure if this is a bad analogy, but in Tombstone, Johnny Ringo was all set to fight Earp when Holliday showed up. Was Holliday faster than Earp? If so, the analogy is crap, but I always thought they were just two separate fighters and Ringo had a mindset for Earp.
  24. Also, KC wasn't even that hot toward the end of the season. That hardly warrants the title of Buzzsaw.
