I just want to say that I think he's done a fantastic job since taking over the reins. You can imagine where the team would be if we had half the injuries.
I had the same thought but when you look at the list more than half of the teams are in the 4-8 range. I doubt our pitching coaches are doing anything different than others.
I just saw a clip of Valbuena's homer and noticed the crowd was humming a tune that sounded sort of like the Braves chant. Is that an actual song? If so, what is it and how long was that going on?
If this guy can play a decent second base, the decision is easy who should go once Trout is healthy. I know Young has averaged a .250 average during his career, but I like his spark.
I'm interested if a running tag could be kept for the games without Trout - those we would have won had he been here, those that are iffy, and those we would have lost anyway. What do you think?
Love this question! I think Arte plays his part in this and we make a big trade in July to shore up the club giving us a boost in the same way Mark Teixeira did several years ago. But the Bullpen turns out to lights out!
I like the optimism and I generally lean toward the expertise on this board instead of my own. However, is anyone concerned about the switching of leagues or does he hit so poorly that it's not even thought of?
Good point. If I were the GM, I would have kept him. However, if they were going to trade him, I think the best bet would be to get younger by shoring up the minor league with some healthy, "capable" prospects instead of major question marks.
