  1. But it shouldn't, junky. The only chance KC has is if our pitching is atrocious.
  2. On the contrary, the Angels, to me, are plainly better than KC. I would be livid if they lost to them rather than any other team still playing.
  3. Would anyone give the likely matchups (pitching/position players/coaching/intangibles) in the KC series and who has the advantage for each?
  4. Will there be a baptism of fire or will he be a ball of fire or somewhere in between? Let me know the numbers he'll have the entire postseason. I think he'll either go 0-for in the 1st game or one hit and come back strong in game 2, especially if we lose the first. Nothing crazy - .280 3 homers 2 sbs This is based on us losing in the ALCS. I hope I'm wrong.
  5. I'm not surprised. He tends to pitch well against us. Hopefully, the playoff bug and the crowd will get to him.
  6. But then we wouldn't have been ecstatic! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
  7. If not, when? Will Boesch really make the team?
  8. Yeah, I don't see the Tigers getting past the ALCS. Their lineup isn't that great after the top guys. If those guys don't hit on all cylinders, they will have trouble scoring.
  9. Congrats! I only tried that one year and the work involved is so onerous. 3 years?! Kudos and props to you!
  10. That's the problem, QM. We aren't completely healthy. If we had Richards and Shoe, I'd agree with you, but our starters are pretty shaky. Basically, if we want to win, we'll have to score 4 or more a game pretty much.
  11. Yeah, Pitt screwed up in not winning the division, but at least they went for it in pitching Cole yesterday. I think KC will beat the A's though.
  12. And I need to add, the Angels deserve to be highly embarrassed if they lost to either of those jokers in the first round. Even with our starting pitching problems, we should win. Baltimore scares me more than any team in the AL. I think we would beat the Tigers (head) if Detroit beats the O's.
  13. Yeah, when I did the MLB.com postseason bracket, I picked with my heart. I'll do two also. HEAD NL Giants over Pirates Dodgers over Cards in 5. Nats over Giants in 4. Nats over LA in 6. AL KC over A's O's over Tigers in 4. Angels over KC in 4. O's over Angels in 7. WS Nats over Os in 6. HEART Everything the same except Angels beat O's in 7 and beat the Nats in 7.
  14. Who I hope to face? KC. And that's who I think we'll face. I get the feeling KC will score 5 or 6 off Lester.
  15. So in actuality, Weaver's start becomes even more crucial. We need to win game 1.
  16. If Wilson doesn't pitch well against Seattle, I don't think that will change anything. As long as he's healthy, they'll try to figure out what's wrong with him and our season will depend mightily on him in game 2.
  17. I think we'll get by the ALDS no matter what.
  18. I disagree. We had better relief than the Giants and the team was centered around Bonds. The key was getting everyone else out in crucial times.
  19. This doesn't surprise me, even if Shoe was healthy.
