Was at the game when Reggie hit #500. Fans were into it.
Was sitting behind home plate when Nolie got SO #383 to surpass some lefty named Koufax.
Also, watching Nolie (on TV) no-hit the Tigers (in Detroit), with 17 SO's

F*ck no. I'm so glad I didn't waste money on his F'ing jersey. Pitch him high & tight when he comes to the Big A.

For the time being.
OK, I saw your post yesterday regarding an Angels announcement in about 2 weeks. Today you're saying, "Perry shouldn't get too comfortable. Other circumstances will determine his future in his job". So, what's the scoop? Team sale? Waiting for the playoffs to conclude? Can't tell us right now?

@Jeff Fletcher
Is Buddy Carlyle part of the Angels major league coaching staff right now?I can’t tell for sure, but there’s some Angels staff member in the dugout today who looks like him.
I believe he is/was the pitching coach for the Trash Pandas. So it could have been him.

Hey Lou. As a 9 year AW member/lurker that rarely posts, I want to send my deepest regards and prayers to you during this difficult time. Although I don't know you personally, I feel a strong bond with you as I too, am a member of the dreaded 'C' club. All we can do is take one day at a time, stay strong and pray for the best. God Bless you man!

I picked up a Larceny Barrel proof myself a month or so ago for around $70. If you are ever in the Corona area check out El Cerrito Liquor. They have a great selection and the owner does all kind of barrel picks for scotch, bourbons and tequilas.
Yep. I know where it is. Sold lots of Real Estate in Corona & used to live there. If you haven't been to Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa it's well worth a drive. Huge selections of Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits.
Sure hope the Angels can wiggle into the playoffs this year.

You appear to have good taste. I see the Tequila Ocho and some good bourbon in there. My local target has the Knob Creek 12 year so I bought a couple bottles.
Thanks Jason. I too just recently picked up 2 bottles of the Knob Creek 12 year. The bottle of Larceny Still Strength Black Label (lower right ) is killer bourbon. Hard to find at a decent price here in SoCal (for under $75). It was the Whisky Advocate's top bourbon for 2022. Cheers!

https://tequilamatchmaker.com/ is a great site.
Sipping Tequilas? As Jason mentioned, Fortaleza is Fantastic. Here's a few more of my faves:

Wow, I hope he gets through this. Not sure what this means for his upcoming season.
Hard to predict but he could have a bumpy road ahead.. This type of blood cancer Isn't just one disease–it's actually a diverse group of blood cancers that all arise from lymphocytes (white blood cells that are part of the immune system). He has youth and probably excellent doctors on his side. Glad to hear he's beginning treatment right away. It's important. As a blood cancer patient myself (Multiple Myeloma) diagnosed 6 1/2 years ago, I feel for the guy because when you're told you have the 'Big C', life and priorities change quickly. Hopefully he has a strong support team to help keep him positive and he can get back to baseball.

BTW: Here's the Rules for 2022 https://www.mlb.com/glossary/transactions/rule-5-draft
Rule 5 Draft
Definition
Held each December, the Rule 5 Draft allows clubs without a full 40-man roster to select certain non-40-man roster players from other clubs. Clubs draft in reverse order of the standings from the previous season. Players signed at age 18 or younger need to be added to their club's 40-Man roster within five seasons or they become eligible for the Rule 5 Draft. Players who signed at age 19 or older need to be protected within four seasons.
Not every club will make a selection, but those that do pick a player must pay $100,000 to the club from which said player was selected. Rule 5 Draft picks are assigned directly to the drafting club's 26-man roster and must be placed on outright waivers in order to be removed from the 26-man roster in the subsequent season. Should the player clear waivers, he must be offered back to his previous team for $50,000 and can be outrighted to the Minors only if his original club does not wish to reacquire him. A Rule 5 Draft pick can be placed on the Major League injured list, but he must be active for a minimum of 90 days to avoid being subject to the aforementioned roster restrictions in the next campaign.
Clubs may trade a player selected in the Rule 5 Draft, but the same restrictions apply to the player's new organization. However, a club may also work out a trade with the Rule 5 pick's original club to acquire his full rights, thereby allowing him to be optioned to the Minors under traditional circumstances.
History of the rule
Prior to the 2017-21 Collective Bargaining Agreement, clubs that selected a player in the Rule 5 Draft were required to pay $50,000 to that player's previous team. If the player was placed on outright waivers during the subsequent season and went unclaimed, he would be offered back to his previous team for $25,000.
The 2021 Rule 5 Draft was canceled when the 2022-26 CBA was agreed to.

Here's a good example of why some of us Angel fans would love for this guy to buy the Angels:

Giants vs. Dodgers. June 30th, 1959. My dad used to work for Farmer John (Clougherty Packing Co.) & got tickets for my upcoming 9th birthday to see my all time BB Hero, Willie Mays. He did not disappoint as he hit a HR & what appeared to be another HR but the ball got stuck near the top of the LF net. Was ruled a 2B. Sam Jones pitched a 1 hitter. The no-no was broken up in the 8th inning with 2 outs when Junior Gilliam laid down a bunt single (what a Prick). This just reinforced my hate for the Doyers at an early age! We sat on the 1st base side between home & 1st. Of course I took my Rawlings baseball glove LoL. Box score attached. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/LAN/LAN195906300.shtml
