do you know why none of the angels opponents are hungry after the game? because they already ate. do you know why cj wilson is never hungry after the game? he's been nibbling all night.

i think tdawg finally gets it. you can't let yourself get so upset on a game by game basis because there is no such thing as rock bottom. it can always get worse. just try and hold yourself together until it starts to get better. just ride the storm out.

just awful. i agree with those who think there is an indictment of scioscia and the coaching staff to be had here. this team is unprepared to play in any facet of the game. it's mind numbing.

it's a lose/lose series for the angels. "oh you beat the astros in a series? well aren't you a big boy!" as opposed to... "oh you can't even beat the astros?" no matter what, you're playing from the losing side.

rosenthal was right about hamilton's contract. his message was clear. is he supposed to outline the individual salaries per year over the term of the contract? that's a ridiculous standard. he correctly attributed the dollar values and the term. that's concise and accurate, i wish all reporters cared to hold that standard.

i'm always amused at how a guy who's struggling, like trumbo was last half of last year, is terrible and how he was playing over his head earlier. why can't a guy ever be playing under his head, so to speak? kind of sounds like josh hamilton right now, just saying.

i would've supported segura replacing aybar or kendrick after a trade, but i also thought the greinke trade was awesome. it's just that things are bad right now for the angels, and a good plan on how to fix it isn't easy to imagine.

rock bottom is a fallacy. it can always get better or worse. that should make angels fans feel better.

i'm a big dipoto believer, but i never understood the pitching acquisitions. i never thought this pitching staff could take us to the playoffs, but there is something wrong in angelville when this lineup is as bad as it has been. i've said before how it's my perspective that the angels are still paying for the sins of their past, and i think a housecleaning may be necessary, as well as an exorcism, but how could you houseclean this organization as it sits today? you're not going to get the cream of the crop prospects for any angel, trout has to be off the table, but can you help restock your farm system with actual talent for the rest of the roster, hamilton and pujols excluded?

well, that was a fun first month of the season to wash away the bitter taste of last season.
