So if/when they lose this game.....wow. Worst loss of the year.

I know it isn't over yet but it feels like it. **** Frieri. So much. I hope he breaks his arm. I don't care how bad that is. I ****ing hate the son of a bitch.

Had more confidence in him and Frod than anyone we have had lately

Ugh give up a hit to the pitcher and walk a .209 hitter. So frustrating to watch.

    Let him flip out.
This is a TEAM sport and the TEAM must come first.
Team first, fans who support the team second... old, struggling, non-productive players with fragile egos, have to be somewhere far down the line.

I don't feel bad for Scioscia one bit. THIS is why a manager gets paid, and he gets PAID 5 MILLION A SEASON.
This is the kind of thing a manager has to do.
If he hasn't got it in him to do it, then he should retire.

Kimbrel threw 1 strike there. And it was the only one anywhere near the zone.

    **** you Raul
    **** you Scioscia

Man this team. They wont send Trout but they have no problem letting guys like Freese and Ibanez getting thrown out at 2nd base.

Shut up Victor God just STFU I can't stand these two..."the body of work" argument with Albert.  He's been here for 3 ****ing years and sucked pretty much the entire time.  He's old.

    ...things are looking pretty good.

    - Trout is hitting well. Over his last 17 games and 75 PA he's hitting .377/.440/.689 with a Ruthian 207 wRC+.
    - Calhoun is out of his slump and doing well.
    - Hamilton seems to have left off where he started the season: hitting the crap out of the ball.
    - Most of the complementary position players are doing well.
    - The rotation is solid, including Garret Richards re-finding his earlier form and Santiago having a very encouraging start.
    - The bullpen is...solid.
    - The Angels just won a series vs. Oakland!

So despite the train-wreck that is Raul Ibanez and overpaid mediocrity that is Albert Pujols, and that four game losing streak, things are looking up. Last eight games: 6-2. Last six: 5-1.

Seriously.  Let him have a couple games off.  This is just crap.  His idiotic run through the stop sign yesterday and now challenging Cespedes?  Has he not payed attention?  What an idiot.

Frieri Meatball reacted to Make Angels Great Again in pinch hitting Ibanez for Cron
I said it last night in the GTD, but it's dumb enough to have it's own thread. This proves that there's something very wrong with Mike's way of thinking. What in the name of God has Ibanez done for this team to earn a chance in an important spot over Cron? Not to mention freaking Calhoun was still on the bench if the Lefty card wants to be played.
Scioscia has to go, that move made me fume so hard last night. It is probably the best example possible of veteran favoritism over actual production and value.
And don't give me the superfan bullshit I know some of you are cracking your fingers for right now as you get ready to type. I'm thrilled we won last night. I stayed up all night hoping to win, and thank God we did. A sweep would be so damned awesome, but I felt this deserves some attention.

I'm starting to get annoyed with sitting Kole against lefties...he's our starting right fielder..he's not awful against southpaws and as much as I like Cowgill he was crap this weekend against two leftys..Kole should not be sitting..what's your guys take?

They should have done whatever it took to have kept Sam Miller. Fletcher as the beat writer and Sam blogging about the minor leaguers and advanced stat features would have been a great pair. Oh yeah, and the slideshows turned a lot of people off, as did the paywall.

I hope our friend Jeff Fletcher is OK. He's been a great contributor for Angels content as their beat writer and here on our forum.
