I've seen it snow in Vegas, was probably around 1990. I'll never forget walking out of a casino downtown to see huge white flakes coming down. Tried to get home to the OC and the Cajon Pass was closed...turned back to Vegas. The snow on the Yuccas and Joshuas in the Victorville area. Whiteout conditions. Very surreal.

Why would you come into a thread just to let us know you don’t care. Go to a different thread, one that you care about the topic. The “who cares” is probably the shittiest contribution to a thread there is.
Don't get your lacy intimates all bunched up strad. I'm kidding around about how f'n long it's taken for him to sign for what he was offered 5 months ago. It's a bunch of crap that it's stretched out this long. For what?

I do. If Harper signs with the Phillies it takes up a lot of money they could have potentially tried to throw at Trout. Hopefully the "Trout will go to Philly" narrative will die down a bit.
If Trout hits the market there will suddenly be no shortage of money available to sign him

my nephew is getting married in bakersfield sunday afternoon. i have to drive up for it (and also to pick up my wife who's been up there all week helping her sister). supposed to have rain all day for an outdoor wedding, and the grapevine has a forecast for snow most of the day. i'm very concerned about getting through.
14 to the 58. If there's snow forecast for the grapevine it's better to just go that way rather than get stuck at the top waiting for escorts.
I bet it's too late and you're already traveling

Harper reportedly close to signing with Phillies and is likely going to get 10/300 according to reports.

Nope. A used car salesman isn’t hurting my feelings.
Use the ignore feature. I haven't missed him at all.

Led the NL in pinch hits last year too. I think he'll be a tremendous asset for us. Plays 1st base too
Well, he played for one out @1b last year...not sure that means he plays 1b.
BUT..for leading the NL in pinch hits.
That's basically due to how the Cubs used him. He has an uncanny ability to come off the bench and make some solid contact. Keep the line moving and the inning alive. If I'm reading it right, in 2018 he played in 123 games and started in only 24 of them. Of course that was in the NL which plays more to that strategy, but I hope Ausmus can use him that way most of the time.

@Homebrewer i tried to delete my team for this week and couldn't find a way to do it.
can you do it as the administrator? If not, i'll sit out next week to even things up.
HA! I wish I could make changes to your teams.

The Americans: Just started watching season 1, and am up to episode 5. So far it is OK, nothing spectacular.
I know it is 6 seasons long, so it must be good.
For those who have watched it, does it get better, or is this what to expect? I will probably stick with it, but hoping it picks up.
I thought it picked up steam the whole way along...just got better and better. Pay attention because some things that don't seem important at first come into play much later.

4 months and almost 170 pages, spring training camps are open, and it's still about Harper, Machado and Keuchel, where they might end up and what they might be worth.

which playoff team had to survive the loss of their top 2 starters?
we were 9 games over .500 and on pace for 93 wins when Richards and Ohtani went down in the same week last year.
Just the fact that Richards was considered the "ace" of the staff should be enough to show a serious lack of depth.

and we all laugh at your post because we read the OP
You're right...I didn't read it. Now, I've read it...it's like asking 'Say Christie Brinkley picks you up in a bar and takes you home, what will her post 50 body rate once you tear off her clothes?"

With a normal/expected injury rate this is a .500 ballclub. With the usual Angels injury rate...sub .500.
I have to chuckle reading all these prediction posts that use the qualifier "If everyone stays healthy" in the opening sentence ..yeah, right. The teams that survive injuries, because of depth, go on to October. The rest go back to the drawing board. No team "stays healthy" for a 6 months season.
