that's great. what's his name? of my nephews went through the same thing (8 weeks early) and has been just fine. I remember the visits to see him in the hospital and the joy my brother and SIL had when they got to take him home.(he was their first child, too) he's 11 now, a straight A student, bilingual (SIL is a honky) and can beat anyone here in golf. (funcle brag)
so here's a list I previously posted :us
you might want to check them out on IMDb to see which ones peak your interest. the first few are my favorites. are you guys only interested in English language or do you watch other euro shows? i.e. are you averse to subtitles?
No Peeky Blinders? Whada fook, mate?
Speaking of PB is there going to be more of that show?

The young guys know Scioscia is gone and they might actually get a chance to play if they do well. Also lighter, more healthy food in the dinning room now.

He's 1 month today. Came 8 weeks early; just brought him home on Monday from the NICU. He's doing excellent...love crime thrillers and dramas, suspense films, and stand up comedy. Any recommendations are appreciated.
I've really enjoyed Animal Kingdom (american version). About a really dysfunctional criminal family in No San Diego County. think you can stream it from the TNT website and it's probably on Netflix or Amazon by now. There's a new season "coming soon"

I've been binge watching True Detective season 1 again this week, because my GF hadn't seen it. I was surprised at how much I'd forgotten and how much I enjoyed it the second time. We've got the last episode of season1 cued up for tonight...and saving the final episode of season 3 for the night after.
What an awesome series.

I grew up with Bobby at 2nd base and still have very fond memories of those early Angels teams. They were a group of good guys that played the game hard. I had no idea he was still active in the organization.
Enjoy your retirement Bobby, and thanks!

Guys that can throw 100 are becoming common. Guys that throw strikes @ 100 don't grow on trees.
I wish your son (or brother or cousin) success!

Looks like they canceled this weekend, that's probably the best thing. Adam dodged a bullet,no harm no foul.See what I did there.Tank will now have to sit out next week to even everything up.This keeps everything fair.
Interesting but that's probably the best way to handle it. Good for me since my team was sucking big time.

They had some problems with the game. I got a notice that Rickie had withdrawn, so I replaced him with Rahm...but tonight I see Rickie playing. So it is what it is. Of course this is the week Tank is out. It's fucked up.
We will just all suffer with it I guess...nothing I can do.

I couldn’t name one Padre pitcher even if i tried... They aren’t going anywhere for a couple years
I'd like to see them sign Keuchel now...even if it's for a year.

You'd be surprised how many people love the frigid cold of Chicago.
Nobody with a choice spends winters in Chicago. I love Chicago as much as anyone, it's an awesome city. But comparing the two cities and especially the ballparks...there's no way I would choose the Cellblock and the South side over SD.

Trout can easily command a 12 year 600MM deal, I say bye to him if he does though. At that point one player is hampering the success of a team by spending less on surrounding players.
No team will do that. In guaranteed money that's way too much for anyone these days.

It's funny all the old men on this board who think Machado isn't a good player.
Is he worth that contract, maybe, maybe not.
But not going to put up an over .800 OPS? Lol
Not all. I'm one of the board's old men an I think he's better than just good. I also think he has some personality /immaturity issues. Do I think he can overcome those to be one of the greats? I think he can and I also think he will. He's suddenly in a leadership role there and he's a star..and my guess is that he will step up.
If he does what I think he will, he will be worth every penny to an organization that needs some star power and a clubhouse leader. The fans there sure deserve it.

I will , for the first time in years, watch a Pads game this year. Don't think I've tuned into a Pads game, to see the Pads play, for a decade

Manny should take a look at this guy's life and career . Might change his punk ass attitude.
