Tbh I'm guessing Sosh is in better shape than at least 1/3 of AW, myself included.

What will management do?
What I hope they do it not mortgage the future for a chance at the wild card.  
Even if Billy went out and added three pen arms, everyone got healthy, Calhoun went back to being his career self and guys like Fletcher, JMF and others made meaningful contributions at the major league level, I don't think we're going to catch Houston.  
Do I think we can catch Seattle if a lot goes right?  I do.  But I wouldn't push all in to see if I could make that happen.  It's a bad bet at this point.  
So I hope that Eppler can grab a couple of David Hernandez types now.  Right now.  And then we'll see how we do over the next 35 games.  
There is one bit of upside to consider.  We are 8 games out of the second wild card but there is no one else in front of us to pass and the two closest teams are seattle +8 and oakland -2.5 from us.  Everyone after that is a dog.  Minnesota might make a run, but I doubt it.  Toronto might but I doubt it.  I don't see Tampa being in the way.  
So we do control our fate to some degree ie, we need to kick the snot out of seattle and oakland as well as be above .500 otherwise.  But that ain't gonna happen without being able to keep leads.  

Please do tell.  Tell us all about the even average players that the Angels have to insert insert in the line up. 

This is one of the worst plans ever... at this rate it becomes self fulfilling.  The pen alone has taken us out of the race to date, there is 100% zero reason to expect that to change, waiting a month means we are effectively already out of it and there is no reason to make effort.  Bullpen management has been a concern, but frankly im not as concerned about that when he literally has a 50/50 shot that whoever he brings in is going to throw gas on the fire.   Literally EVERY other problem we have, slumps, etc... are not a factor if the bullpen was average.  If the bullpen performs to Sea levels we are literally in first place.

To the original question, i think the plan is maximizing profitability and giving the impression of making an effort enough to keep drawing 3 mil to the gate, but making a serious run competitively speaking is not a priority in the face of that.  I feel they have conceded the division to Hou, and the league to Hou/NY/Bos, and do not bellieve we have a real chance without getting hammered by luxury tax which they will not do.  

We will not be competitive again, really, till after Albert retires and Trout is gone on to greener pastures.  I've accepted that as their plan.  I dont like it, i think its asinine when you have a guy like Trout, but clearly the money matters more, which isnt what i thought we got with Arte but i guess thats where we are.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. Two nights in a row, in the most important games so far this season, he's hit 2 HRs in each and no one else has done shit. He's responsible for 5 out of the 6 runs the team has scored in the two games. He's got to be thinking to himself, "What else can I f*cking do? Please get me some help."

No way. I'd rather see any team other than the Yankees or the Red Sox win the WS. F*ck those two teams.

This is why I don't get when baseball old timers say stuff about baseball purists. Nothing about baseballs past present or future is sacred. That goes with every sport. There is cheating in every game, probably more so in baseball. If someone in football was caught cheating they'd get fined and suspended. Basketball I don't know how you cheat there other than the refs calling games. But baseball this will just be if anything a 5 day suspension where he misses 1 start, and be forgotten about.

I know this is weird but I have been a Buffalo Bills fan my entire life. I grew up in Orange County never really got involved with the Raiders and Rams or Chargers. Jim Kelly is one of my all time favorite players and he and his family has gone through so much with their son passing away at such a young age. Didn't know where to put this topic, so just put it here. Hoping and praying that he recovers fast and they catch this cancer before it gets to far. 

That's awesome. Team chemistry is under rated in my opinion. This team other than just not having the talent the last couple years. Has sorely missed team chemistry. The wanting to play for one another. I am glad to hear one of the good guys will be in the clubhouse.
