Phillies need an outfielder. Maybe we can get a low level minor league pitcher for Goodwin. I would rather get a lotto ticket arm for him then to lose him for nothing.

I dont have a problem with the way the show ended, i just wish it was 2-4 episodes longer so we could have had more scenes of events just glossed over (the Stark girls reaction to Jon's real parents, Lannisters/kings landing fighters preparing for the battle. Were they confident or were they questioning Cersei too? Jons arrest and explanation after killing the Queen). I know this show got crazy costly towards the end so I understand why they shortened it but it did hurt the story a little. I wish they were following Arya's character west. She would be the only actress from the original cast so the actors salaries would be way more manageable and you get to create a world that hasn't even been written about yet. Seems like a missed opportunity.

In the preview for next week's episode there is a scene where 2 dragons are flying in the air. I am guessing Jon's dragon survived.

Seager got it in April, Ohtani's was the end of September.

The Gulls first playoff game was great last night. Gulls won in OT against the San Jose affiliate. Game 2 is tonight. -
We had 3 hits opening day and La Stella had one of them. To sit him the very next game might send the wrong message. I would rather reward the players that perform than to stick to a strick platoon. But then again, interupting that r throw from Kole to second could have garnered a benching on its own.

I just finished Informer on Amazon. It is just one season but i thought it was good. Reminds me of The Wire but British. The lead actor for Raza had never acted before on TV and I thought he was the best one on the screen.

Trout 12 years/$440 million! Its done!!
OCAngelsNotLAA replied to NJHalo's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
"Trout stands to earn more than $430MM over a twelve-year term. It will not include any opt-outs, per Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times" Sounds good to me! -
Yea I was driving home from vegas maybe 10 years ago during one of the butterfly migrations and I had butterfly wings coating the entire length of my antenae. It looked like i was decorating my car for a rave or something.

Yea I dont get it. Even if he really wants to play here long term. Go chase the cup for the rest of the season, let the ducks get stronger with whatever picks they get for trading you and then sign with the Ducks during the off season. Silfverberg would be joining a better team next season with a better shot at making a playoff run. -
Why compare a position like C/SS to pitching? Instead, lets compare how many pitchers are on the 25 man roster to the amount of C's or SS's. How many pitchers does the average team use in 1 game or season and how many SS are used on average? If we were drafting the same amount of pitchers that we do SS we would either have way too many SS in the organization or not enough pitchers.

I like the idea of giving the team an opt out if the player doesn't hit set milestones along the way during their contract. In return allow the player to initiate an opt out if they achieve a higher set milestone or if they are in the top 10% top 3 players of all mlb at their position. This could be used for service time too. Let a young star be a free agent earlier if they are in the top 10% at their position over a 2 or 3 year period. As long as they get closer to pay based on performance and away from gauranteed contracts I will be happy and i think the product on the field will be better.

At least the Gulls are good... -
Damn, my wife has been pushing for me to get one and I agreed thinking it was no big deal, but now I am terrified! I better get the name of Mancini's specialist.

7.2 Earthquake/Tsunami Warning Anchorage
OCAngelsNotLAA replied to Lhalo's topic in The Official Hangout Forum
My cousin lives in Anchorage, no major damage at her house but she says gas lines and roads are in rough shape all over. The local high school was being set up as a first responders outpost but a huge gas leak was discovered so that had to be evacuated quickly. -

The only thing that is keeping me from crying myself to sleep every night as a ducks fan is the fact that the Kings are doing worse! I am a little jealous of your current draft position though
