  1. Interesting observation from JP Hoornstra on Twitter "Observation: The Angels began the day with a lower swing rate than any major league team. They've walked six times tonight, including one intentional walk and another with the bases loaded. It's a flawed lineup, but they have a strategy and they're sticking to it."
  2. Let's hope it's not like Lebron James or Jordy Nelson. Glad to see the team hitting well!
  3. I doubt they'll be anything like this come season end. A few of their players are playing significantly better than they have over the course of 5+ year careers thus far. Hopefully they cool down a bit by next week or it'll be a tough 4 game series.
  4. Based on history the offense atm (until people come back) is largely garbage. The bullpen has the potential to be be elite consistently. I should have clarified.
  5. The offense has clear holes that won't be fixed until people come back but this bullpen is elite and there are pitchers waiting in the wings. Still a lot of question marks with the starting rotation but really liking the pen.
  6. He's been very solid for the team. Hoping that the whole first half star thing about him continues across a whole season!
  7. I thought Asmus said this was because of the NL games and he'll be back up after?
  8. I am done with this team in terms of my hopes and expectations. At least until people come back from injury in 1-2 months. Doesn't mean I won't watch. I'm a masochist ?
  9. He is an Angels Win poster, gotta act like us occasionally
  10. That's a hr. I'm already done with this team. Worst Angels team in a long time.
  11. This has been absolutely miserable with no fix in sight until Ohtani/Upton come back
  12. Nothing like starting the season off with an absolute dud. Let's gooooo
  13. So hypeeeeee. In an age of non-loyal athletes Mike Trout breaks the mold once again.
  14. How is that not tampering. If you're the Angels you have to extend him now, you can't let him hit free agency because in all likelihood he isn't staying in Anaheim.
  15. Not a smart decision in terms of the current fan-base as they would lose a lot of people due to the traffic. People from most of LA or south OC won't travel there because it'll take way too long. From a development standpoint however, it makes sense with how much Long Beach is spending to revitalize the city. This would go a long way for them to further interest in the city as they continue to push for the the 25-35 demographic.
  16. This is the most Angels thing ever. The first comment summed up exactly what I first thought.
  17. Party boy couldn’t handle NY so he comes to LA, wonder how this will turn out. Been a very sad offseason thus far. I would say the team has gotten slightly worse when you factor in who left and who has been brought in.
  18. Losing Ramos hurts. This has been a disappointing offseason thus far.
  19. Kikuchi scares me, I’m not sure I would make him an offer. We all know this team’s history with pitchers being hurt so adding one that has a similarly injury history is not good imo. Not too mention the fact that he’s pitched so many innings in Japan. Ramos was amazing last year so I wouldn’t mind a two year deal (3 if we get some sort of bargain).
  20. The reports coming out are very upsetting mainly because this type of thing has been happening to players in Latin countries for some time. People are desperate for their money when the players return home. So sad
  21. I would be so disgusted. The only time I would have to root for the Red Sox. Dodgers fans act like the team is the greatest thing since sliced bread even though they haven't won anything for 30 years. Imagine if they do end up winning, ugh. The only positive is that I don't live in LA anymore and people from San Diego don't care about anything.
  22. No way this happens in Ventura County, I would be astonished. I could see a stadium in Riverside before the people in Ventura county allow a stadium to be built.
