My prediction is Lorenzen spends most of his time in relief while making the occasional spot start to cover for an injury, and offers much more value as a reliever than as a starter. Bit of an overpay but at least provides good bullpen depth with starter upside.

I do think we're in the midst of a point of flattening or declining marginal return. Corporations are very quickly realizing that the system can be optimized to keep people as dependent on it as possible, rather than necessarily increasing life span while also improving the quality of life. You have trash food on the front end and questionable pills with tons of side effects on the back end. If you're selective and maintain a healthy life style on your own accord while very selectively utilizing the health care system you can get better results, but of of course the vast majority of people don't do that. They get fat on junk food, take a bunch of pills, somehow live to 78, and pretend that "life was good" because most of it was spent engaging in escapism.

How do you have zero barreled balls despite 2 homers? I'd assume a homer would imply a barreled ball in most cases, especially for a player like Fletcher who isn't exactly going to muscle out a ball he doesn't square up.
