  1. By Robert Cunningham, Angelswin.com Senior Writer Special Request: Hope for Education is a small, targeted charity sponsored by Angelswin.com. I am humbly requesting a small donation as we enter the New Year and hope that you are in the giving mood as these kids need help to learn in a safe environment from this very deadly pandemic. Please lend a hand, even if it is only a couple of bucks, it does make a difference. Thank you for your time and attention! Important Note: First of all I would like to say Happy New Year! I hope all of you and your families are implementing best-practic
  2. By Robert Cunningham, Angelswin.com Senior Writer Note from Angelswin.com: Again, I am making a plea for support, to our family here at Angelswin.com, to provide any donation, even $1, to the AW.com sponsored charity-of-the-month, Hope for Education. If I have to go further, I am willing to take unnatural pictures by tdawg's bunk bed to encourage donations or, alternatively, not show them, at the whim of each individual member of the Angelswin.com family. I know times may be tough for many of you, but even a small donation helps toward a larger goal, so I am humbly requesting any kindness
  3. Didn't see this posted, apologies if a Craig. Details how again so far this year Trout has become even more impossible to pitch to. Dude just keeps making adjustments, even while on top of the entire game. Mike Trout is Impossible
  4. http://www.fangraphs.com/community/identifying-hrfb-surgers-using-statcast/ Basically they took Statcast data on balls hit at a greater than 25 degree angle (sweet spot angle for HR's), compared to HR/FB%, and analyzed which players could potentially see more HR's moving forward and Kole Calhoun is at the top of the list, unsurprisingly.
  5. The slowest changeup thrown by an Angels pitcher does not belong to Jered Weaver, he of the 82-mph fastball. No, it belongs to right-handed reliever Mike Morin, whose fastball has touched 95 this year. And for that reason, I hereby declare Mike Morin’s changeup to be The Silliest Changeup in Baseball Morin’s changeup possesses the second-highest pop-up rate on record, at 19%. The only pitcher with a higher pop-up rate on the change is the sidearming Pat Neshek, who is one of two pitchers (the other being late-career Mike Mussina) with a slower average velocity on the change than Morin.
  6. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-teams-with-the-most-dead-money-in-mlb/ I'm sure the Angels are also up there for money on life support(Weaver, Wilson, Pujols) This team is so depressing.
  7. Los Angeles Angels (+30 runs from Opening Day last year) — This is what happens when you swap Erick Aybar for Andrelton Simmons. That, andKole Calhoun has proven himself as a plus right fielder. ranking 7nth overall. Defense going to need to be great to make up for the lackluster offense and pitching. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/previewing-the-best-and-worst-team-defenses/ No ****ing clue how much the upgraded defense will correlate to wins though.
