  1. Yeah I get it dude, he called up Morin a few days ago. Meanwhile Besrosian and Alvarez continue striking out the majority of the batters they face while Herrera and Maronde occupy pen spots.
  2. And schuck should be given a one-way ticket to Salt Lake. He has no business on a major league roster.
  3. Why bring in a guy who has exceptional control when you have a three run lead? What sense would that make? Scioscia is either stubborn, stupid, or both. He has no clue how to manage a bullpen. But dipoto is the one putting this garbage on the roster and giving Scioscia the c-4 to put into the fire.
  4. Jerry is responsible for this mess. He has real talent in the minors that is wasting away so that scrubs like Maronde and Herrera can single handidly work to kill our playoff chances. It is absolutely inexcusable that he doesn't bring those guys up and send the garbage back down.
  5. This train wreck is on you dude. The worst part is that you have talent in the minors, but you would prefer to keep running the garbage out. Sack up and fix this before it is too late.
  6. Grichuk could be Mark Trumbo but with the ability to hit for a better average, play great defense, and run a little.
  7. Its a pipe dream I realize, but if Burnett can come back too we definitely should be able to field a decent pen.
  8. I bet he will walk to Alabama to see Dr. Andrews.
  9. I agree, and I hope the front office sees that. The bullpen appears to be the factor that will determine whether this is an 80 win team or a 90 win team. I'd like to see them aggressively promote Bedrosian/Alvarez/Morin in the hope that one or more of those guys will provide the shot in the arm the pen so badly needs.
  10. And we have probably been overly harsh toward Kohn the last few years. The guy has a career ERA+ of 107, so he has been a bit better than average (and substantially better than Jeppy).
  11. If this team can just hang on and play .500 until Hamilton and Calhoun come back, and if a couple of Bedrosian/Morin/Alvarez step up and help the big club, playoffs are a realistic possibility. Certainly the offense is good enough, and the starting rotation has been plenty good enough so far.
  12. For me it wasn't about Freese for Bourjos, it was about "throwing in" one of our better prospects (who is now destroying AAA, despite being young for the league).
  13. It was a horrible trade when made, and looks way worse now. And almost everyone on this board felt that way at the time, which makes it even more ridiculous that Dipoto didn't see it that way.
  14. With Green's hot start, I wonder if the Marlins might take him as the primary piece in a Steve Cishek trade.
  15. Cow art has sucked balls since his opening day, five-hit night. My guess is that within thirty days, we will be talking about converting him to a pitcher.
  16. I am sure most good league big relief pitchers could not strike out 15 out of 17 A/AA batters. Bedrosian might be ready to succeed in the bigs right now. Didn't K-Rod start the 2002 season in A ball?
  17. Borenstein has done nothing thus far. I hope last season wasn't a fluke.
  18. Yeah, crazy to think what it could do. This has been one of the best offenses in baseball despite 4 out of 9 regulars producing nothing (and well below their historical averages). Imagine a healthy Hamilton and Calhoun to go along with career average production from Ibanez, Freeze, Kendrick and Aybar.
  19. With those numbers, I think it is safe to say Bedrosian could be at least semi-effective at the big league level right now.
  20. Kody, for its worth, that cracked me up and was well done on your part.
  21. I would have been stoked if they got him on a 13-year deal. 13/350 would have been a steal.
  22. I think, statistically speaking, the pitching has been a tad bit unlucky. The peripherals suggest the team ERA should be better. That being said, who knows whether this group can keep up these peripherals.
  23. Ibanez, Aybar, Kendrick and Freese have combined for a .550 OPS. They all suck, and at this point I could care less if any of them were traded.
