I really liked having Napoli as a part of the Angels and think they should have kept him but, at .253 .339 .851 while sitting at 1 WAR with over half the year gone, he's not even the most the valuable player on his team.

who is the girl in that avatar and why is she sticking her legs and feet out so invitingly?

Dude is on fire and about to be in the conversation of MVP.

You know the old saying for presenters "Picture the audience naked"

Well the key to Napoli's success isn't pretending the audience naked, he's just pretending that the audience (opponent in this case) is wearing an Angel jersey.

July was great.  We getting some answers to some of the issues that need to be resolved, who can really help, and who cannot.  We have played some tough teams, and fared really well in the process.  This team has shown a lot of fight despite being buried during the first three months with key injuries.  If they continue to play like this for August and September, I'm happy and confident that we can retool and complete next year.

The loss today didn't really bother me that much.  Street may have started a decline, but on the other hand he may just as quickly rebound.  It's really nice seeing Bedrosian develop, and I find it's always better when the player has been drafted and with the organization since his professional career started.  You pick up the pieces and beat Oakland's brains out on Tuesday.

    you're so happy

I am not sure if any other manager in baseball would keep street in as a closer at this point, especially with someone throwing the ball as good as Bed Rock. Scioscia is a stubborn mule.

Saint louis booted rosenthal. Houston booted gregerson. Texas booted Tolleson. Washington traded for melancon and probably were going to put Kelley in the role if that didn't happen.

Scioscia likes veterans. Regardless if they throw 88 MPH and have a 6.45 ERA.

But if you think of it in the long run, stuff like this helps us get a better draft pick.

so true.  remember how long it took Scioscia to demote Rodney when he was blowing games left and right in 2011?

When a smart organization like the Giants, didn't want him back I knew he had no value.

he was throwing a bunch of garbage at his showcase in scottsdale too, no scouts noticed?
