    I may not be a fan of aj's posts in the spin forum, but he is a pretty darn thoughtful poster in this forum. About the farthest thing from a troll there is. Quite honestly, this is the least exciting, least interesting, least compelling angels team I have experienced since the 70's. Who's fault is it? Right now I would say everyone from bat boys to the gm.

    From 2006 on Carlos Quentin has been hit by pitches 116 times. He is a plate diver and if he's going to do that he needs to accept getting hit. That being said, I don't think you have a static rule. Each incident should be judged by itself.

    Sorry Katie, but Quentin has been a known plate diver for years. He gets hit by pitches all the time. I love how people want to insinuate that somehow saying something means you should get your collarbone broken. I'm no Dodger fan, I hate them in fact, but this is on Quentin and he is going to pay dearly because I bet the league is going to come down hard on him.

    The argument has been made that it would just basically be daycare. That is what I was talking about. Tacking on another year of school will not help more children be more competitive in the global marketplace. It's just less time they are spending with the people who are supposed to love them the most.

    Actually the data shows there is not a real benefit to start school any earlier for kids. They get a head start early, but the other kids catch up by the 4th or 5th grade. Modern parents, looking for any reason to get rid of their kids earlier than ever.
