I think the problem is this money is being made by the coaches and the universities but it's not really benefitting other sports. Here is what I would like to see if they aren't going to give money to the players. Pool it and spread it around to other sports programs. I would also like to see money set aside for the student atheletes. Lets be honest, they might get a free education, but they aren't really encouraged to get all they can out of it. They must train, travel, study game tape and plays and obviously practice. I think there should be some monies set aside for the kids that end up not making it in the pros.

I think the way to do it is to slowly take away cold weather's right to exist. Step 1, ban extreme cold, like 20 below. Step 2, have background checks on any cold front moving into the country.

It's amazing that the only thing these clowns seem to agree on is how to screw the american people and take more of their rights away. I'm sure the Senate will pass it and Obama will sign it. This country is really starting to reach suckitude levels.

Not even close, votes can more damage then guns. Way more. I'm not advocating the argument that having one means having the other, or vice-versa, like all those type of arguments, there is no winner.

AO, you are talking about what, 3 starts? I'm frustrated too, in fact I'm pretty apathetic about this team. I just think this staff was bad on paper and now it's performing badly so far. There was a lot of hope in the making of this staff.

Although if pushed I would probably not favor this law, I'll never understand why is "defeated" when it gets more than 50% of the vote. Seems stupid

I really haven't liked us going after the huge name free agents. as a poster pointed out, we did that through the 80's and it did nothing. I don't think this roster is a good fit for Sosh though. He won with some good players, but not any great ones. He had a team that matched his game style. Now, do we blame Sosh for that or management for not giving him the players that fit his system better? Anyways, I think we are stuck and Sosh might lose his job at the All-Star break if this team is below .500. I also think Dipoto doesn't come back if this ends up being a losing season. His moves have not worked out.

I think the Angels should have losing seasons for the next ten years, that way we can get multiple top draft choices and then be good in the mid-twenties.

Good grief, this thing should bring us together, not become another reason to fight. We have no information, even speculating on what happened is stupid and completely based off of one's politics. I love a good fight in the spin forum, or any forum for that matter, but it sure seems like some people care more about their ideology than, well, other people.
