I agree.  I'd prefer not to have him.  No argument there.  Way back when I made my initial post here, I was directing my own angst at JD because I think it's his fault for bringing Blanton in.  Like I said, I only see Frieri as his beneficial contribution, so far.

What the **** do you expect us to say AJ? I still have faith in Dipoto but I am ready for a manager that is a little more intense. This team is playing awful plain and simple. I firmly believe that the two big signings the last two years were generated by Arte and they are playing like crap. Dipoto built a team that he thought would outscore their opponents, sadly that hasn't been the case.

I won't go crazy like the OP but you guys have to admit we have a decent percentage of regulars here who only seem happy or only regularly post when the team is playing like shit. To me that's odd. (Coughwaybackmancough)

I'm looking forward to watching Vargas pitch tonight (well, listening- MLB.com seems to think Tulsa is in the Houston viewing area even though we're 500 miles from there) and seeing if Hamilton can finally get it together and seeing what Trout and Trumbo do.  I'll hope they win just like I've done every Angel game for 40+ years.
 
But there is a lot wrong with this team and this organization right now; this may not be the worse Angels team ever, but so far they are the most frustrating and disappointing.
 
I'll watch, I'll hope, I'll bitch, I'll care. .  but I don't blame anyone who decides they have better things to do with their life then watch this team play.  In fact, I kind of envy them.

I posted this in the makeshift silver linings thread from the other night. I really like how the starters are coming along and it only gets better with Weaver coming back. They are going more innings, allowing fewer runs, and consistently getting out of tough spots with RISP.

Here's another one, the starting pitching has looked better the last couple weeks.

Good to know. I wonder if all of th scouting in MLB is as good as yours. Makes me wonder how much the market would have paid Hamilton had we not snatched him. I doubt Pujols/fielder kind of money.

Unbelievable.  You people KNEW the pitching was awful going in.  You KNEW the offense would have to score 6+ runs every freaking game.  Now you act surprised and astounded that our new pitchers are who we thought they were in the off season?  Talk about short term memory..
