  1. I'm "only" 45, but my own balding passed scattered a long time ago.
  2. Kind of sounds like Montreal is just flipping coins. Agreed, but fell apart seems to be their thing.
  3. Turned out incredible. Cooked from 6 to 4:30. Cut at 6. Will do it that way from now on.
  4. Smoked brisket, slaw, mac salad, jalapeno poppers, cinnamon apples, baked beans. Staying home, we have gone to in-laws in Roseburg, or, for the last several years. They generally have a pretty good fireworks show. Stuck around this time because the kids have a junior bocce ball tourney tomorrow.
  5. I tried a little different approach. Put brisket on at 6, at 225°. At 10, it had reached 165° internal. Looked beautiful. Took it off, mopped, wrapped in peach paper, back on with heat bumped to 275-300°. Supposedly 5 or so hours to reach done, then off to rest. Closer to the "hot and fast" myron mixon approach, without the foil. I'll let you know how it turns out.
  6. I read a weird stat on pensburgh. Perron has played on SIX teams, but has only ever signed contracts with the Blues.
  7. https://www.pensburgh.com/2018/7/2/17524958/penguins-blue-jackets-rivalry-jack-johnson-signing-john-tortorella-yelling-jim-rutherford-nhl I am pretty disappointed with the deal they gave Johnson. Feels like a handout for Sid's buddy type of thing. He has not been good. Also a bad look for Rutherford to make the comments he made. But, a poked, melting-down Tortorella is never less than fantastic. This is going to be fun.
  8. Yep. Up to put it on predawn. Last one i did was from costco, and it was so fatty inside that it cooked way too fast. Went back to a better cut, so i hope it is more on schedule. I hate trying to make them hold.
  9. My 15 yr old actually came outside to get me and show me dee. I coach, and i definitely skew old school. As in, wear your hat to the front or run all day instead.
  10. Picked up a nice 14 lb angus brisket the other day. Doing it up for the 4th. Cant get here fast enough...
  11. Didnt see it anywhere, but anyone watching? Turn "ahead" the clock night. Looks like beer league softball game. Muscle shirts, backwards hats, untucked jerseys. I actually like their look, other than the muscle shirt and backwards hat thing.
  12. This thread took a turn just as the angels scored some runs. I like it.
  13. At least it's not a brandi chastain statue
  14. Im not a give up guy until math kicks in. My problem with this team right now is that for the first time ever, there are more guys that i am ambivalent about than those that i enjoy watching on a nightly basis. I honestly think 5 has become one of my least favorite halos ever. I just cant stand watching a grounder to third get bobbled, kicked, then picked up and he is out by 25 feet. He single handedly cancels out the joy of watching Trout, Simmons, and Ohtani. Again, just my .02. I guess i got off topic. Give up? No.
  15. This is small nuts baseball at its finest, just roll over and die. The team is in dire need of a redass.
  16. CB Strike on cinemax. It's adapted from novels from JK Rowling, under a pseudonym. I had never heard of it, but i enjoyed the first 3 episode arc. I looked it up after watching, and its not playing so well with critics.
  17. I was with cals. Something, something, blue steel.
