  1. That's ok. Let Puig and the Dodgers deal with the cover jinx.
  2. Traitor! That must mean Francona is going to be managing the Dodgers in 2016.
  3. Good for him. Not bad for a failed starter that doesn't close.
  4. Lester will be the first to sign. He'll sign during the winter meetings. The other two will sign after the meetings (later in Dec.). I think Shields will be the last to sign. I don't recall hearing any rumors about him.
  5. What's there to get? He still enjoys playing and he wanted to end his career with the organization that he started his career with.
  6. @Ken_Rosenthal: Source confirms #Dodgers have strong interest in Lester. First reported by @WEEI.
  7. @Alden_Gonzalez: Source: #Angels have agreed to bring back RH Yoslan Herrera, who was non-tendered yesterday. Minor League deal w/ Spring Training invite.
  8. Here's the list of all the mlb players that were non tendered. Now that the dust has settled, let’s take a look back and see which players were ultimately non-tendered. The following is a list of the game’s newest group of free agents (and their former clubs): Position Players – John Baker, Cubs – Gordon Beckham, Angels – Kyle Blanks, Athletics – Andrew Brown, Athletics – Everth Cabrera, Padres – Daniel Descalso, Cardinals – Andy Dirks, Blue Jays – Juan Francisco, Red Sox – Slade Heathcott, Yankees – John Mayberry, Blue Jays – Carlos Rivero, Mariners – Adam Rosales, Rangers – Gaby Sanchez, Pirates – Justin Smoak, Blue Jays – Eric Young, Mets Pitchers – Brandon Beachy, Braves – Francisley Bueno, Royals – Jose Campos, Yankees – Scott Carroll, White Sox – Yoslan Herrera, Angels – David Huff, Yankees – Michael Kirkman, Rangers – Wade LeBlanc, Angels – Kris Medlen, Braves – Alexi Ogando, Rangers – Logan Ondrusek, Reds – Curtis Partch, Reds – Chaz Roe, Pirates – Gus Schlosser, Braves – Kraig Sitton, Rockies – Scott Snodgress, White Sox – Wesley Wright, Cubs
  9. I wouldn't say I want Beckham re-signed, but there's a chance he's re-signed for something like two years and 6-7 M (instead of the one year and 5 M in arb).
  10. @keithlaw: Torii Hunter is barely a replacement-level player. This feels like the Ken Griffey Jr return to Seattle.
  11. Did you pay $300+ for a Pujols and or Hamilton jersey?
  12. Yes, for me it's more about it being easier/faster to type.
  13. I hope he signs with the Red Sux. I hope the Padres aren't foolish and sign him.
  14. @wboor: Max Scherzer to the #Nationals ? http://t.co/dV5nlG5CWx Could Scherzer wind up in Washington? With Stephen Strasburg, Jordan Zimmerman, Doug Fister, Gio Gonzalez and Tanner Roark, the Nationals have a starting rotation that few – if any – teams in baseball can match. However, the Washington Post wonders if the Nationals could make a play for Max Scherzer and improve an already terrific rotation. Scherzer, a 30-year old right hander won the 2013 American League Cy Young Award and was productive again in 2014 as he went 18-5 with a 3.15 ERA. If the Nationals were able to find a way to land Scherzer it would likely open the door for them to trade one of their current starters. General Manager Mike Rizzo hasn’t ruled out the possibility of making a trade and if the Nationals do trade one of their young arms, they could likely get some pretty nice pieces in return. “[Zimmermann is] a key part of the team,” Rizzo said last week at the General Manager meetings. “I would never say definitely [about trading him]. He’s a key part of the team. It would be a tough guy to move. But again, never say never because stranger things have happened.” - William Boor
