  1. The Astors have three wins and two against the Mariners.
  2. I made a comment last year on how I don't believe Dipoto has done that great of a job and my opinion really hasn't changed from this. He's invested a lot into an aging core that missed the playoffs last year and is set up to miss this year.
  3. I have umpired before as well. But if I hadn't that doesn't mean I can't critisize him for making a bad call.
  4. Since football implemented instant replay the game has been extended one second larger on average. Statistically signifigant, but not practically important.
  5. No one should bitch about our division possibly getting three teams in because of the Astros when the Tigers waltzed into the playoffs with a team that had the seventh best record in the AL.
  6. I think we are the best team in the division, but I think it's more likely the Angels sweep us than us sweeping the Angels. Road and Reddick is hurt.
  7. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/umpires-are-improving/ You are wrong.
  8. Same thing as Zito and Lincecum. I am not sure it's in that territory yet, but it's definitely not something to ignore.
  9. You guys are still ahead of my team in their power rankings lol
  10. Statistically speaking, they are better. Run differential is the best predictor of future success. Losing by one run is the best way to lose in the regular season, at least early on.
  11. A's fans don't have that... Just the duders who show up. Not a lot, but none of them are on their phone their whole
  12. I think the most comforting thing for Angel fans to know is that three of the losses were 1-run games. Those are 50-50 in nature and the Angels are really more like a 3-3 team based on their schedule and differential. Angels will not continue being horrible in RISP and their last six games actually bolds well for the Angels, not the other way around.
  13. It's really good when you consider the fact he pitches half his games in Arlington. An extreme hitters park.
  14. Angels are 23rd in offense right now: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2013&month=0&season1=2013&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=17,d
  15. To be fair, this is probably the best forum I have ever been on. Hands down. And there is no Rangers forum, at least good one. I like posting here a lot more than the A's forum. The A's forum is kind of awful.
  16. Good teams avoid one run games. One run losses end up breaking 50-50 percent. You are not going to see the Angels keep losing one run games, it just doesn't happen. Angels will be fine.
  17. They booed him several times last year, including in June.
  18. I thought the Rangers were smart for not re-signing him at that money and years. Angels may in fact waste a couple of Trout's prime years as Hamilton and Pujols decline and the money increases.
  19. No way the Reds are the third best team in baseball. Their run differential last year was only +81 and they are hardly improved. Still, it's not a bad sign at all for the Angels to lose two one run games on the road to a very good team.
  20. He seems almost likeable in that interview.
  21. I wish you guys talked more shit about the A's. I mean, I think even you guys are sick of rehashing that Ranger fans are bitter that you took their players.
  22. I can't imagine what you guys will be saying about Pujols six years into his contract.
  23. I'd be more worried about CJ Wilson than JH and AP
