Remember how all our RISP bad luck seemed to be paid back in that one inning yesterday? We need something like that to happen with Josh Hamilton. A 4 homer game from him might be just enough to survive a Blanton start

How about the Angel fans they showed between innings wearing Angel jerseys, horse heads and they were dancing around.  Two of them even smooched over a great hit.  I wanna party with those guys!

Everyone knows that without Hamilton, texas is a different team '10-'12.....even going over board with his family in the stands...it pisses me off...lets show him we do appreciate having him in angel red... the guy needs the support

The more winnable games you end up losing, the worse your record is gonna be over the long haul.  Not a strong start to have your first 4 losses all be winnable games.  It takes that much more slack out of the system down the line. 
 
2-4 is nothing.  Certainly easy to overcome.  However, you are going to have only so many winnable games over the course of a season. It's unlikely that this team can afford to lose too many of those and not have it affect where they end up.

Amidst the horsebleep offense from the 1-5 guys these 1st 2 games, and before Downs just shat the bed, the BP had a 1-hitter through 9 IP so far, just like Yu Darvish! Jepsen and Richards look unhittable right now....

Between Chris "I got this" Iannetta and our bull pen, this was an awesome win against a tough Reds team.
Don't worry folks, the bats will heat up....
JUST ANOTHER HALO VICTORY

Roger might be a clown, but atleast when i drive to work in the morning, i get the baseball report and the top 10.  Now i get random stuff like UCLA basketball talk and other things that is too boring in the morning. 

Beating the mighty Reds and only giving up 3 hits in 13 innings is a very impressive way to start the season. Pitching wins championships and for this I am pumped!

I'm thinking of the poor young Angels' fan who just his pack of baseball cards and is so excited, hoping to get a Mike Trout, or maybe an Albert Pujols or Josh Hamilton. Hell, he would probably take a Mark Trumbo, Jered Weaver, C.J. Wilson or Howie Kendrick.
 
He opens the pack, and sees that it's a game used memorabilia one, and he's thinking "Woah, this is so awesome!" and as he pulls the card out, the smile begins to fade from his face. He knows it's not Trout, but maybe it's one of those other guys! That would be okay too!
 
And as he pulls the card all the way out....

No matter what time of year, I made sure to tune into the "morning" Sports Lodge at 7:40 to 7:45am for the baseball report.  Miss that!!!  I loved hearing all of the different perspectives each sports writer had (especially the east coast ones) because they were so typical and Roger would call them out on it.
 
Come back to the mornings Mr. Lodge....you are missed.
