  1. You might find it disturbing but. I don't know where u go out. But I've never seen him out sober. Ask people around the stadium at the restaurants and bars. Saturday night when I went to the game and we ended up at a well established bar around there. And talking to bartenders about the Angels players etc. the guy had noting but good things to say about the players who come in except one. Weaver. I guess he gets kicked out regularly. I'm not saying he's a bad person. Everyone does their life differently. But if you think people are "Angels" let alone athletes. I have too many stories as I'm sure you guys do as well of people you've ran into that aren't their portrayed persona. Also I said when I've seen him out and people I've known have seen him out. I don't know what he does during the game. So don't put words in my post.
  2. Agree the Angels more than likely won't do this.
  3. This stuff is some of the best reads here. It always cracks me up. Great job. I'll be sad to see it go when the season ends more so than the Angels season being over.
  4. I don't condone that he pushed his sister at all. No one should lay a hand on a woman. But you also don't know the relationship of their family. And at the end of the article it states the fight was mutual with the restaurant staff. Things get heated. My guess is once the staff came in words were said and in a bar type of environment people drinking someone pushes someone and punches get thrown
  5. It wasn't laughed at when we signed Lincecum that they can go smoke together. Maybe not a huge drug problem cause he's never to my knowledge gone to rehab. But from when I've run across him out and from the people I've known to run across him as well. Guys lit about 98 percent of the time.
  6. If the Angels had Guillen in those playoffs we probably go all the way and win the WS.
  7. Says who he has a handler? And what the heck is a handler even mean? Are you insinuating he is a drug addict? Even if that is the case which no one has ever reported it to be. We have Weaver and we chose to sign the Freak who both are known to have huge drug problems and everyone kind of laughs it off don't they?
  8. Baggage other than being immature and kind of a knucklehead what else is there out there?
  9. If they are trying to give him away which the rumors are suggesting why wouldn't you just throw away something for him even if its just taking on his contract. The worst thing that happens is you cut him because he's a bad dude. The guys a knucklehead and immature but those are things that can change with right management and or people around him and years. I would take a flyer on him and see what happens. The worst that happens is he has a bad attitude they can't fix him and they cut their ties. Nothing less than the other guys the Angels have picked up hoping for a return to form or to get a little lucky. After the year the Angels have had with the bad luck in injuries, they are due for a little good luck.
  10. I don't. And this is true I've been to 3 games because a friend had an extra ticket and the Angels have lost every game I went to.
  11. I was just saying. Every time I've seen him play. He's made an error thought it was funny.
  12. So reports are saying the Dodgers trying to give away Puig. If they are trying to give him away would you be interested in the Angels getting him. Seems like a buy los candidate. Could fix the left field problems and could be a buy low sell high kind of person. Similar to what Yanks did with Chapman. Thoughts? http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/report-dodgers-trying-to-give-away-puig-but-no-one-wants-him-082216
  13. Homers and Steals wish we had someone on our base who could steal.
  14. Dude was not very good last night. Speaking of not very good the greatest defensive short stop of all time last night had a routine grounder to short and couldn't throw to the 1st baseman. Man I have seen 3 games in person now and each game I have seen Simmons seems to make an error.
  15. Huh no I said if he's not fired this season. Then he's here as long as Eppler is. No chance Eppler is here 2 years with mike and then gets to hire his own manager. They both have 3 seasons or they are both gone and it's a total rebuild of front office and manager etc
  16. He definitely knows how to pick em. Vernon and Mathis over Napoli
  17. Like I said before if Mike is not gone this upcoming year than he is tied to Eppler and only when/if Eppler is fired Mike will be fired.
  18. The weird thing is go to an Angels game or watch it on tv the stadium is half empty every night or more. He may get 3 million bought tickets this year but no way is the stadium actually filling up every night. Also it's dead at the ball park.
  19. Mike has 2 more years right after this? The only way Mike is gone while Eppler is still here would be before next year otherwise Eppler will have to be fired and then it's a clean slate and everyone's gone and start over. No way Eppler is here two years then fires Mike hires a manager and then if the Angels fire Eppler the year after only giving the new manager one year. It won't happen. Mike will have to be gone next year or the next move that's made will be Mike and Eppler stay together for a while or Eppler and Mike are gone at the same time.
  20. Skaggs isn't hurt. Richards is. If Skaggs is hurt he shouldn't be out there. He's thrown 100 pitches in a game prior to this one since he's been called up. If not then I'm wrong. If his pitch counts at 80 then so be it. Just would rather see reps and getting strength back
  21. Don't let me kill you. I didn't see the game. Just reading the box score. I am really not that upset bout it. Just would rather see him get his work in whether struggling or pitching lights out. If he looked worn after those 80 pitches than ya by all means yank him. Just again would rather see him get that strength back and the only way to do it is game time reps
  22. You don't have to have had a great career to be a great coach or even good coach.
  23. I just don't see the point the season is lost get him his reps. No reason to shut him down at 80 pitches unless that's what the Angels are going for on his pitch limit. Why pull him at 80 pitches. Let him get his 100 or so and make sure he's ready for next year
