  1. I have watched a lot of the Angels games on MLB.tv and his lack of power seems a bit strange as well as his swing and miss rate which has always been high but is very high so far. Hamilton will likely still get 25 of so HRs this year but An OPS under .800 going forward would no be suprising as well as 130 games played at best per season. he is on the downturn part of his career and maybe its the numerous injuries or the controversial previous drug abuse issue but he will not be an elite COF anymore...
  2. 3.5 ahead of Miami. I still think Angels are at least a .500 team...
  3. Their both human. And they both gave up zero runs....
  4. Its very early in the season and thus makes these games seem bigger than they are.
  5. End up with injuries? They missing 3 of their 5 expected starting pitchers. Colby Lewis, Matt Harrison and Martin Perez..
  6. It seems that with International signings and deep national draft that these kind of excuses are pretty much incorrect. look at teams like Atlanta or St.Louis and while both are highly competitive they also have very deep farm systems...
  7. He will end up getting injured doing that. hit the DL at least twice diving head-first when with the Rangers
  8. No his FB or maybe his curveball, or maybe his cutter or maybe his Split-finger.
  9. Pretty much up to Darvish whether he gets hit or not. If he has his FB control he will dominate. his off-speed pitches are always there...
  10. In 2 less years in the Major Leagues Elvis Andrus has totaled 13.2 fWAR whle Aybar has accumulated 13.4 fWAR. Andrus is 5 years younger. Please tell me how Aybar is a better player cause the stats dont support this homeristic view...
  11. Aybar is not on "par" with Andrus defensively. Kinsler is getting paid pretty much what a Top 3 2nd basemen gets paid in this market...
  12. Who cares about it being a "baseball town." If you like baseball you go to games or watch them on TV. you talk about the sport to friends or online. i just dont see the big deal about this whole silly issue. Football is always gonna be huge in Dallas .The only reason I would take offense to this whole issue is if it means that people in dallas supposedly dont understand the game.
  13. Great game by both teams. Lots of fun to watch...Looks like Hamilton broke out of his slump I guess...
  14. The entire lineup other than Michael Young struggled the last few weeks. But Hamilton became the lightning rod with his drop and his horrible ABs late in the season..Also I think the issues with sports drinks, coffee, eye-drops and whatever else seemed to annoy some fans. Regardless both parties have gone their ways and its not a big deal. Players change teams all the time.
  15. He is a nibbler. Always has been. he looks good against aggressive lineups that swing at balls out of the zone...
  16. Jon Daniels likely only said this so that backlash would be deflected back to Hamilton. i mean this really is pretty obvious that if texas wanted to resign Hamilton they would have. Looks like most simple Texas fans that wanted Hamilton back took the excuse...
  17. He had a .645 OPS the last week of the season and dropped a critical flyball and laughed about it in the dugout and then looked like he did not even try in the WC game. We Rangers fans wish Josh was still here at 5 years 125 Million and hitting great like he is, but we will get over it...
