Autopsy of the organization, eh?
will Arte be autopsied?
-
Sign him. I’m sure he’d love to shove it in the Dodgers face
-
Left the game early in the 8th maybe they’ll come back now
I never leave early but that was a fugly way to go out.
We are going get to 90 losses after all, aren’t we?
At least I got to see Nolan extend his streak and watch Ohtani walk off the field for what might be the last time…..
oh and I got the Photanishopped Team Photo

7th inning and this gameday thread hasn't gotten to page 2.
Sad.Ive only been watching the gameday app since no reason to keep paying for direct lv for Ballys.
watching Nolan’s streak and any cool stuff from the kids like Ohoppe Bombs
it’s been relaxing and much less stressful
though I’ll be at the game on Saturday so there’s a bit of masochism left in me

He had a 1.88 ERA on July 30th.....
Miss those days, I think he got taken hostage in Seattle and they sent back Crapthebedrosian in an Estevez mask.

I’ll be happy if I can watch regular season games somewhere other than Ballys Sports Crap where you have to use Cable, Fubo or DirecTV Stream. I don’t need all that, just want a place to watch Angels games. I’d pay a reasonable subscription to not have to buy a full streaming live platform with regionals sports package for $100+
DirecTV is awful service and expensive., Fubo I tried and it was terrible with lag and failing signal
now that the angels are out of it I went back to youtube TV which doesn’t limit streams either. But no Angels games

Who is this Estevez imposter, can we have the real one back?
-
This lineup is the least of our concerns honestly. It’s not that bad if everyone is healthy (excluding Rendon of course)
Pitching is what’s a potential horror movie. Starters and Pen.
so many flashes of excellence followed by disasters from top to bottom. Estevez is a perfect example
has anyone been consistently good in the bunch?

How does this affect his Free Agency? Or does it?
Does he sign a 2yr deal now? So show he can do both again at a high level in 2025 and then re-enter free agency?
or will some team give him that record contract he wants with the question marks attached?

At least I got to see Nolan’s first bomb in person in this snoozefest
was surprised to see Pujols here

I don't know why people think there's "drama" here. He's done for the season so he cleared out his locker. Why do people think there's more to it than that? Reeks of people wanting to be outraged about something.
Because it’s not how things normally go down. I don’t want to be outraged, or angry. But to have the MVP, and star of the league to go from day to day, to suddenly clearing out his locker in haste, with things supposedly in the trash also reek of anger or emotion as well. That and the fact that we had not be announced on the IL, his manager giving updates each day that he’s close. The team not instantly having a message. Only the late IL move after all the “drama.” Add this to the free agency looming after a historic season, it just sucks and we want to hear the story is all.
any anger and outrage I have regarding this team, it’s owner, it’s luck, it’s endless stream of injuries this year, how it’s run at all levels has already come out since the all star break and trade deadline. This honestly is more depressing as we all know he’s leaving but there’s no goodbye, no swan song, to thank you to the fans that adore him, seems so out of character. But yeah he could just be emotional after wanting to do more and achieve more this year for his team and yes, himself. So I get that’s probably a large part of it.
we just want to know is all. The angels terrible communication recently about injuries like Moniak and Rendon (yeah Rendon is digging a hole himself) just add onto that, probably coincidentally. But it doesn’t help.
just my two cents

Is the press conference going to be televised or streamed somewhere? Seems to be of the magnitude where that might be appropriate…

Sayonara Ohtani-san. Wish we could’ve seen you off properly. Wish we could’ve watched you play your last game knowing it was your last. This is beyond shitty. What a terrible ending. Fuck this movie.

Sure would be cool to have a crystal ball that would show us where we’d be had he sold the team last year. Remember how exciting the short time period was?
dont get me wrong, I still want him to sell this dumpster fire, but there were so many things aligned then that we won’t have now.the only “good” thing is Arte loses a ton of value without Shohei, the Japanese market and all that comes with it. I’d like to think he won’t make as much now. Asshat. (Yeah I know it’ll still be a multi billion dollar profit, but Scrooge mcDuck’s mountain of gold should be smaller)
gotta find a little positive somewhere because this season has not only been gutting, depressing and potentially the worst of my lifetime as far as expectations vs loss. But the future is absolutely bleak right now. I can’t picture a good off-season like I used to.
I just want a new owner. Won’t fix things over night, but I can’t imagine anything worse than wasting the two best players to come around in a generation… potentially ever. Would a real training staff have kept Trout healthy? Ohtani? Who knows… but we certainly look like a 3rd world walk in plastic surgery clinic this year
-
Gutted. Absolutely gutted. Knew it was coming but still sucks. Can’t believe we didn’t get to see a “final game” either
-
Maybe if we let them score 20-30 tonight they’ll be like us and score nothing tomorrow
It’s strategery

Leave him out there to 120 pitches

Spoil away, make the mariners less attractive for Shohei please!
-
Sadly I don’t think we will see him as an Angel again at this point. Crushing
-
That outfield Is the stuff of legends

We are truly cursed. Arte needs to sell and we need a full reset. I’ve never seen anything so unlucky in all of sports as far as our injuries went this season
seriously, has there been worse? If so, I’d be interested in reading about it. Can’t imagine a more brutal season
