  1. Just saying his level of production is highly dependent on his HR/FB rate. Seems to have been rather unlucky the last few years, hopefully you're right and this is the year it turns around.
  2. He's still gonna need the marine layer to have a career year.
  3. Looks like Trout has been a trend-setter with his species. http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/excursions/post/enormous-new-zealand-brown-trout-possibly-a-world-record/
  4. Good read, #5 might need to come through to have a successful season.
  5. Maybe not in the neighborhood, more like in an adjacent area code.
  6. Prediction is widespread panic after 2-4 or worse start in the first week, followed by a 13-8 record the rest of the month.
  7. Pujols single-handedly making up for the loss of Torii.
  8. Dipoto is committed to surrounding the high priced guys on this team with younger cost controlled position players, i.e. Bourjos and Trumbo. I could have easily seen Reagins do what the OP suggested, and it absolutely would have been the worse move for beyond this year. For this year only, would Kendrys be more valuable than Trumbo? At the plate, probably. Although considering we'll need Trumbo to fill in at several positions throughout the year, I think you could argue that either way.
  9. George Kottaras or Brett Hayes won't make the Royals as a backup to Sal Perez, should look into trading for one of them.
  10. Bourjos' SwStr% was actually much higher in 2011 than 2012, and his O-Swing% was much higher in 2011 as well, all this despite his K% being identical. He was just way too passive at the plate last year. If he regains his confidence he's a pretty good option in that spot, relative to the other choices.
  11. I'm pretty sure he'll be 5th in the rotation. We'll likely face Cueto, Latos and Arroyo.
  12. Jose came into camp 20 pounds heavy, he's working it off.
  13. Pujols + Hamilton combine for fewer HRs than Trout + Trumbo.
