  1. Are you really saying Dipoto released Jesus the day after Easter. That ain't right.
  2. I know it's spring training and that he could look like Matt Joyce once the season begins, but Nava so far has been better than I feared.
  3. It was just against Kazmir, so I guess his hits along with Trout's triple don't really count. If you're going to stick it to him when he disappoints, you should also acknowledge him when he does well.
  4. What no updates with his two hits and two rbi day yesterday? I guess it doesn't fit with the whining.
  5. Ah, nope. I doubt it. Sold the farm for an outstanding defensive player that will not be a significant difference maker to this team. Prepare for another long off season in 2016.
  6. Yep, face is losing the baby fat. He's starting to look like an adult in his face.
  7. That's awesome. I just saw it. I teach at a university and we just started back to school so I've been away from the board, but I may just have to change my username.
  8. Have to say, I would prefer Hector's exercise plan to Trout's. Impressive though, doubt I could budge that tire--maybe because my own spare tire would get in the way. Course I don't mind if AW calls me fat.
  9. When I started college in Utah in 1986, there was a guy from Boston on my same dorm floor. He was always obnoxious, but when the Angels melted down and lost, I couldn't stand the sight of that guy. I'm sure it was just him.
  10. What a mix of early good pitching followed by horrendous pitching, bad defense, terrible decisions, lucky hits, and pure grit. What a game! Talk about both teams deserving to win and lose. Whatever happens, thst was a most entertaining and memorable game. Thanks Freese and Gio for making it exciting with great hitting and suspect D.
  11. Plus the rest of the Angels have not done any better during that stretch.
  12. Umm, I'm wondering if some of the posters on this thread have actually been fans for more than a season or two. This is the Angels. I've been a fan for thirty-five years, and this is pretty much what they are. They get hot and get you excited and then they come back to earth and drive you crazy.
  13. That is just awesome. I have more respect for both of them after reading this.
  14. I never like seeing anyone get hurt, especially a head injury. But I can't help but think of Christmas Vacation where Cousin Eddie explains about Ruby,"She falls down a well, her eyes go cross. She gets kicked by a mule. They go back. I don’t know.” So maybe this rights Joyce somehow, getting kicked by an Aybar, thanks kinda like a mule, right?
  15. That was a pretty down year for them. From 2009-2013 Angels were 38W to 57L versus the Rangers.
  16. Good news is Angels looked great against Boston. Neutral news is that the Angels looked okay against Twins. Bad news is the Rangers seem to still own the Angels.
  17. Sounds like Dipoto and all his sabermetrics mind tricks messed up Joyce, and so now Scioscia wants him to just get back to basics and feeling the at bat. /sarcasm on
  18. Well this shows that I know nothing. When he has that slider working like that, he's tough to hit.
  19. I actually bet the Angels hit him hard. I think they know what to expect and know his tendencies. I predict he doesn't get past the 5th inning.
  20. I think it's more a pride thing for Pujols than it is for Trout. The way he's suddenly come on and can unload when he's locked in, I think it will be Pujols. But is there really a wrong answer here?
  21. Pete Rose on a hot, humid afternoon. Oops, I thought we meant more scummy.
  22. Well shows what I know. I forgot that it was Cy Iwakuma and his previous ERA of 7 that they were facing. Of course the Angels could only muster 3 hits and no runs.
