HERO LOST: San Bernardino attack survivor says co-worker gave his life to save hers  
One of the survivors credits Shannon Johnson, 45, with giving his life to save hers after husband and wife killers with assault rifles opened fire on a holiday gathering of government workers, killing 14 people and wounding 21 others.
 
Denise Peraza, who was shot in the back and is recovering in a hospital, said her heroic co-worker shielded her with his own body when the shooting started, telling her “I got you,” according to WXIA-TV in Georgia.

Assuming for a second this isnt a terrorism event (it is, but just for argument sake). Look how easy it is to pull something like this off. I predicted this would happen after 9/11 and it never really did. But you see all these non-islamic mass shootings, and its only a matter of time before the next jihadist figures out its easier to obtain a gun and shoot up a bunch of people than it is to hijack a plane or construct a VBIED.
These a**holes were able to construct pipe bombs with probably nothing more than google (anarchist cookbook has been around for decades). Those boston kids built that pressure cooker bomb at home. Most American Muslims aren't devout Muslims in the first place, they just identify as such.  That's not confined to Islam, Christians and Jews do the same thing by identifying as such without believing in anything.

There seems to be a genuine confusion on behalf of law enforcement in regards to the events. They had 12 pipe bombs in their house (is this correct? has anyone else read this?) yet they left them behind? Also, the vehicle was a rental and due to be returned yesterday? I wonder if this is a plausible situation:
 
The shooter(s) were planning something bigger due to having the pipe bombs and much more ammunition. However, I wonder if he started feeling some hea or thought that maybe he was being surveilled so they completely threw their plan out of the window and took action yesterday with the shooting? It doesn't make any sense to me to leave all those pipe bombs behind unless the plan was to return home, grab them, and go hit another target? Why go through all of that work to leave them behind? 
 
Something doesn't fit here. I'm waiting for the news link to come out linking them with ISIS. The FBI has already came out and said that the suspect was indeed in contact with known international terror suspects? Was he invited to Saudi Arabia, given a wife, and given plans to fulfill?
 
Also, I know that it is protocol for the FBI to be involved in active shooter situations. Is it the same with Homeland Security? They seemed to be extremely involved yesterday. They were flying planes and drones over. They had their regional agents there. I wonder if the FBI/DHS were on the subject but not expecting him to act so suddenly? 

Not trying to derail, and i know some of you are going to disagree, but this is the reason why the Police are aquiring specific equipment. I keep reading this ridiculous argument about the "milatarization" of the police. Its a lame argument people believe just because someone came up with a term.
What is this militarization? SWAT was developed after incidints like the SLA shootout, when it became plainly recognized that the cop with a .38 and a shotgun was at a disadvantage when the other guy has a rifle. Today, a lot of agencies issue rifles to their officers (not all). Its the same AR-15 that anyone whos 18 with a clean record can purchase.
Are cops employing grenades? Rockets? Crew served weapons? Armed vehicles? No. People are up in arms over MRAPs being donated. Thats because bear cats are expensive, and you saw what bear cats are used for yesterday. All it is is a vehicle thats bullet and explosive resistant. Because the person driving it or riding in it has reason to believe someone is going to shoot at him or explode. Nobody is patrolling the city in these...its a piece of equipment you keep in storage until you need it.
Yesterday was a tragedy and people are glued to the story. But this kind of thing happens far more often than anyone thinks, just not on the same scale. The other guy has gotten better armed. Teenagers built the boston marathon bomb. Think it was all that sophisticated? Think barricaded suspects are a rare occurance?
Updated equipment is nothing more than evolving. Most agencies are pushing cops to learn spanish these days. Most are pushing community orientates policing. LAPD is utilizing liason officers to work with OG gangsters to try and mediate violence when it flairs (and its working)....thats all taken from the special forces handbook. Should we do away with that too?

Anything rather than what he did say. To tell us that ISIS is contained and there's no threat is a gigantic lie. This was a terror cell of two people supported and equipped by several others, living among us in a normal neighborhood. Husband and wife with a six-month old baby. Normal looking couple, but hell bent on mass murder of innocent Americans just going about their lives. How many more cells are there in this country? I would guess it's larger than single digits.

He should be saying, be vigilant and if you see something, say something. But we know how that went with Clock Boy, who Obama went out of his way to praise and to denounce the police who did something when they saw something suspicious. Clock Boy is suing for $15 million now. That's going to put the chill on peoples' willingness to step up and report something.

What's also disturbing is there are witnesses in the neighborhood who said there were about a half-dozen Middle Eastern looking men coming and going at all hours to the apartment and delivering boxes and things in the weeks leading up to the massacre.
 
They didn't want to report it for fear of being labeled profilers. Remember "Clock Boy" and the uproar that caused? So the idea of "see something, say something" is now dead.
 
This was an extremely well-planned and detailed operation. They may also have wanted to kill police by luring them into the booby-trapped house, but something went wrong there and they fled, dying in a massive shoot-out with the cops. This was as far from workplace violence as it gets. Terrorism, plain and simple.
