  1. I'd kill for a stadium in San Antonio. Indoors, please.
  2. Terminator: Genisys In a world where Jurassic World gets a score of something like 6.5-7/10, this is an absolute 8. This film does not deserve the hate that it's been getting. Of course it's not the equal of either of the first two, but it's FAR superior to the third and fourth installments and stays very much true to the tone of the first two. I couldn't care less that they blow to sh*t what happened in the first two. Hell, the end of the second film indicates that anything can happen. They did seriously err when it came to marketing this film. They get right what the last two films didn't: nobody really gives a crap about John Connor's adventure or development: Sarah is the most important character. Also, Schwarzenneger is pretty damned good here. Yes, there are loose ends. Yes, it blows everything to hell. Yes, it's much better than a 27% Tomatometer film.
  3. Is this before or after you (specifically) are required to have sex with them? I only ask because if you like it, the number is 4, 5 or 6. That changes things. Alternatively, you just let them do whatever the hell they want in this regard because they're consenting adults who live that particular life and they're not harming anybody.
  4. Come to Texas. Make some friends. Add them on Facebook. Your view will change.
  5. Of course, I bet you're a little more lax on context when it comes to the term "militia."
  6. Adjusted for inflation, the Vaughn contract pretty much lines right up with the Hambone contract.
  7. I'm disappointed, but not indifferent. I love the team and am more invested in the franchise than I am any other one out there, in any sport. That's what makes this suck so much. Upset? Yes. Indifferent? Nah.
  8. Fantastic. I think you're dead wrong. I can do this because... I went to what's considered one of the most liberal universities in the US in one of the most lib cities in the US. Most of the people I knew defy your expectations that seem to be built upon your lousy experiences. There were also some great conservative minds present. Almost all were good people. I now live in Texas and most of my friends are by default conservative. They're for the most part very thoughtful and eloquent people. There's also a good amount of libs here, and the ones I know are unlike the group that exists in your memories or are the loudest voices that you read on the internet. My experience tells me that your apparent rigid distribution of beliefs is inadequate and antiquated and will continue to be moreso as time passes.
  9. My point is that at their most basic essence, all of these are about extending basic rights to people based on the notion that all should be treated equally in respect to them. In that sense, they're just like the gay marriage issue, and unlike almost all of the other bullet points in the "culture war" that you're trying to staple on to the back page of the gay marriage issue.
  10. This statement is based on bias, delusion and myopia. I'm almost certain it's trolling.
  11. Ending slavery was part of a culture war. Ending segregation was part of a culture war. Women's suffrage was part of a culture war. So yeah, sure, have your "culture war."
  12. More (different?) people wanting to be married = attack on the cultural institution of marriage. Sweet.
  13. I've always thought that the term marriage should be taken away from the hands of the government. Make everything a civil union and treat the unions equally under the law.
  14. It seems to me that we're just contextually able to predict the word with minimal clues.
  15. Seriously, though. It's the best film I've seen in about two years. When the Pixar people nail a film, they kill it. It's a perfectly executed story.
  16. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.We were a guardian's wishes away from having the number one class. Swannigan wanted to come to Cal.
  17. How can you say that after posting a quote which argues otherwise?
  18. Inside Out 10/10 It's just a wonderful, thoughtful film... the best that I've seen so far this year.
  19. I hear that both they and yk9001 are playing weekend two of ACL this year.
