Alright, so I haven't had much time to reflect on it until now, but DAMN that game was fantastic.
I think it showed that we still have considerable defensive weakness, but it was so much fun. I fear what some of the Pac offenses will do against us with the pass.
Goff is so, so, so good. His ability to run the offense is impressive. I hope the injury he sustained doesn't linger. Not having Lasco made this more of a game than it should have been, but our backup RBs did their job and then some.
I was in the upper deck, among other Cal fans. We had a good turnout, and we were loud. Even when we had a 21 point lead, I feared that we'd give it up, and we damn near did.
When Heard scored that last touchdown, that stadium was as loud as any I've ever been to. When they went for the PAT, the initial reaction in the stadium was more cheering from Longhorn fans. We couldn't see whether it had made it from where we were, so all of us initially assumed that it was good. However, a second later we realized that the Cal section behind that endzone was going absolutely nuts. Then we started going nuts. The Longhorn fans were STUNNED. I pointed at one of the Horn fans next to me and screamed "THAT'S WHAT WE DO! YOU ARE CAL!"
It was beautiful.
