  1. Solid thread. Would read again.
  2. The Angels need to start having fortune tellers and tarot card readers in the dugout for this very reason.
  3. You keep Stratton to follow Cahill's or Harvey's shitty starts. There is no need to burn through good relievers trying to save a Cahill/Harvey shitty start. If Stanton is decent, then there is hope, if he is shitty, then let him eat the innings. Being pummeled last night is no fun, but being beaten soundly while burning up a good bullpen seems senseless.
  4. What would be your suggestion to: 1. Help Cahill figure some things out 2. Limit his poor performances
  5. Honestly, I default to your perspective. You are more in tune with the inner workings than I.
  6. Playing in Los Angeles last spring seems to meet the criteria in your question.
  7. Doug White is not telling them to throw the pitch in the middle of the plate. Their locating sucks, there's nothing Doug White can do for them if they are spinning balls into the heart of the zone.
  8. Hindsight is always correct. Parker was kerosene last year. How quickly it is forgotten by the "told you so" folks. I am glad he is gone. It just confirms that you do not need to spend a lot of money on a bullpen.
  9. FYI-Anything Yankee or Red Sox is considered breaking news for MLB/ESPN.
  10. Harper certainly has the date on his calendar to make his promised phone call..
  11. It was a dumb article with senseless trade proposals. Anyone following the Angels knows that Simba is here for the duration. Shortstop is one of the most difficult and significant position being played on the field. Why would you trade someone of Simba's ability? That is about as intelligent as trading Ozzie Smith because you can get some quality prospects.
  12. I understand but do not like it. However. It feels like the Angels may have finally arrived at a place where a logjam of good players is a problem.
  13. Rengifo needs to stay. He has played well enough to stay. Cozart is no longer needed. I hope Eppler can trade him. Maybe a change of scenery will jump start his hitting.
  14. I am busy searching for parking money.
  15. I like him enough to trade him ASAP.
  16. Harper will not finish his contract in Philly. I predict he finishes it in New York.
  17. Should we look at whether he runs after hitting a ball? Should we look at whether he waits to be called out before abandoning a base? I think the issue with Bour is not his average, it is with his mental acuity.
