The past few years seem like a Wack-a-Mole game. This year's starting pitching simply replaced previous positional black holes filled by shitty signings or trades.

I agree. Average starting pitching + lock down bullpen + above average offense gets you to World Series contention.

I agree. The A's announcers talked about how Cahills pitch percentages have changed from last year to this year. They questioned why he was throwing fewer sinkers that were more successful last year and more curveballs this year. Cahill also threw lots of pitches up and in the middle of the plate. His location is horrible. I am surprised the A's only hit 2 home runs off of him. Yosemite would be the only park that would keep decent hitters from hitting a ball over the fence.

Angels starter Trevor Cahill has allowed three or more earned runs in all of his 2019 starts by the third inning. So there.... I just made that up.
