    In defense of Eppler, he said he was looking for pitchers who could stay healthy. Both Cahill and Harvey have stayed on their scheduled pitch days with low pitch counts. I think that is worth mentioning.

    I think the makeup game would have played out in a similar manner if Angels fans played the game instead and allowed the players their day off. I see it as a win-win.

    I like Eppler but this list is indefensible from any perspective. There is nothing anyone can say that changes the realities for the magnitude of these poor performances, or the legacy of previous poor performers. At this point, unless he makes some changes, I do not see him staying the Angels GM. He has not demonstrated the skill set required for signing productive role players as free agents. The baton may need to be handed to someone else.
