ESPN only took 2 innings to get to the "Ohtani is being wasted" and "Ohtani should go to the posteseason with someone else" narrative. Actually longer than I thought it would take. It's not wrong but I think I'm going to have to listen to the Angels radio guys for this one tonight as they'll be having wet dreams about where Ohtani is going next all night. 

Is there any doubt from anyone here that when they're 10 games out of a wild card spot with 25 games left in September that suddenly they're going to play amazing ball?

Michael Stefanic gets like 4 at bats and gets sent to Salt Lake while we have fucked around with Rengifo for what?? 5 Years? DFA Rengifo already and give Stefanic half the chance he's gotten here.

Not at all. In fact didn't he say early on his career with the Nats he didn't even like baseball and that it was boring? No I would not care at all. I remember he hit a walk off in one of those covid 7 inning doubleheaders in 2020 but other than that he's done absolutely nothing as an Angel. If they make his bobblehead as an Angel, it should be the ball on the display going straight up in a popout or they should make a bobblehead of him being hurt. 

I just logged on to twitter and it's like the world is ending because Rendon is hurt again for the millionth time. I mean yeah the Angels are toast, but Rendon just goes back and forth between popping it up to center and going on the IL. I'm not sure what anyone thinks they're missing at this point. 

I'm honestly glad tomorrow night's game is on Apple TV- a product I refuse to purchase as I feel $35 a month for Extra Innings is enough. I think a break from watching this team for a night will be good therapy lol. 2 nights I guess as I'm going to a Pioneer League game Saturday night. This shit is frustrating as hell today.

Not to mention the weekend before that they blew an 8-2 lead to the worst team in baseball. I get 2015 vibes from this team. They are going to frustrate the hell out of us. And they'll have their ups and downs but they'll finish short of the playoffs then we'll all look back on games like this on why they missed the playoffs for the 9th fucking year in a row.

Especially considering Moose is a double play machine. I like him as a player but if it doesn't get through and it hits the ground it's going to be a DP with anyone on base. He's slow af. 

They are actually making Lance Lynn look good now. 

Offense is showing some life today thankfully. I didn't see who was warming up but should be Tucker Davidson time in the 4th I would think?

Nevin just totally threw this game away letting this asshat finish the inning. Why do we even as fans care when Nevin apparently doesn't? This was kind of a big game and Nevin just acted like it was a spring training game. 

Sandoval has joined the C.J. Wilson and Hector Santiago club as agonizing lefties to watch in Angels history. 

You just know too that tonight the baseball bloggers and writers were salivating at the thought of writing "Ohtani hits 2 hrs and strikes out 10 as the Angels lose" They love doing that kind of garbage. Especially when Trout homers with Ohtani and the Angels lose. That's what makes tonight's win even sweeter imo.

Fletch! That could end up being a huge play! 

Moose is obviously a pretty good hitter but unfortunately we've acquired another double play machine I'm afraid.

Well a win on 2 walks and 2 wild pitches. Better to be lucky than good sometimes but I'll take it. Really good they got away with the win there in the 9th because with the little league tiebreaker coming up in the next inning anything could have happened.

Randazzo just said the Angels are leading the AL in runs in June. That must be 98 percent because of Saturday lol.

I can't believe I'm saying this but man it feels like this team has wasted a lot of great pitching outings this year. This offense is incredibly frustrating. 

As bad as the Rockies are they can't be overlooked too much when they're at home. Even during their worst years they can be a handful and pull games out of their ass at home. It's when you lose a series to them at your own ballpark you should worry.  They don't even try when they're away from Coors lol. This series is shitty but I'm not sure I'm taking it too hard, as I know from living in CO the Rockies can be a thorn in the side when they play at Coors Field. Angels need to come home and rebound and at least take 3 of 4 from a bad White Sox team. 

I went last night and obviously had a blast but am glad I quit while I was ahead and didn't go today. I said to a couple other Angels fans last night it would be the most Angels thing ever to come out and lose the next day after scoring 25 runs lol
