  1. No -- in order and tiers: LA Kings LA Rams ..... California Angels ..... La Lakers
  2. Wow, i seriously have not followed the standings at all since we began except for the bottom (lol) -- i can't believe we're one of the worst teams yet still (theoretically) still within range of a spot. Imagine one of the top seeds having to face a team with a losing record in the playoffs....in baseball anything can happen in a short playoff series. That would suck for them.
  3. I'm gonna be THAT guy -- these are wasted wins. With 12-14 games left, we are out this year. Play the rookies and Pujols as much as possible. They get playing time and we get more losses. Won't happen, but we'd be better off sending Trout home with his kid and let us lose more games (yes i'm joking). I'm not saying they should lose on purposes because that's just not possible and it's wrong in all ways. But I'd just like to continue losing more often than not (like we have all season long) since it simply doesn't matter the rest of the way out in 2020. come on blowpen -- do your job!
  4. You seemingly can’t take the Mickey Mouse out of this organization. If it’s not one thing, it’s another smh
  5. If they can get a full (or close enough) minor league season in for 2021 and Kochanowicz/Deitmers/Rodriguez/Stallings can get in 100+ innings......then realistically you could envision all four of these guys contending for a SP rotation spot come 2022. Each would be 22-24+ years old. I don't mean they all would be in the rotation in 2022. But each one could be an option at some point during the season for one or more spots. Deitmers certainly is being looked at to be a guy who can be in the starting rotation in early 2022. Rodriguez just needs to stay healthy and get his innings up in 2021 -- if so, he's going to force his way in. Koch is the lesser option since he's the youngest and hasn't really pitched professionally much (if any) at all besides instructional ball. But guys with that kind of stuff can come on quickly. Stallings seems more like what we have (back-end types) but that's valuable and needed. Some good things to dream upon in bad times.
  6. Bundy is single-handedly ruining the Angels tank this year. He is too good. Eppler really blew it by not trading him when he had a chance .
  7. I went with 'D' because i wanted to grade him to-date. But in reality it's probably "incomplete" due to such a small sample size. So far though, that sample isn't so good.
  8. You literally made me google stallings IP. I totally forgot about that guy. Good size. This could have potentially been a big year for him. Bummer.
  9. agree -- Chris Rodriguez, Jack K. and i'd add Deitmers now are the guys I most care about in the minors. A theme there yes.
  10. Good thing we have a stellar scouting team. I’m confident they will find the right guys to pick in the draft rather than a few bust.
  11. It’s so crazy hot outside right now - if I’m the angels I’d just forfeit, stay in the clubhouse with AC and come back out at 7pm tonight lol.
  12. Arte isn't cheap....that's obvious with some of the huge contracts given out. But there is a pattern of this organization, since Arte, lessening the organizational scope -- meaning less scouts, less int'l presence, etc. This year alone there's been several negative items out there on the LA Angels regarding them not paying minor leaguers enough, furloughs, etc. They seem to be label as a team on the far end of the "let's save a buck" side. Whether that is a valid criticism and fact is not the point. It's out there and perception is reality. Maybe it's true...maybe it's a disgruntled employee(s) feeding bad info for a hit job. IDK. But there's a lot of smoke. Could be overstated. But again, perception is reality and the perception is Arte/Angels are being cheap with the lower end of the organization.
  13. When my first child was born, my office WAR really suffered too -- OBP really went down for a couple months. But eventually i found the right brand of coffee and the little poop maker started to sleep longer....and i found my grove. My OPS/WAR has been thru the roof ever since. Just like me, I believe Trout will also adjust and turn it around. If not, I'll speak to him about it and we'll get it fixed.
  14. He's not getting close to $18M/yr.....certainly not over 3+ years. Injuries + the CV financial impact + lack of SS market will all limit his opportunities this FA off-season. If you QO him, he's very likely to take it. And we simply can afford to use up $18M of salary space next year on Simmons at SS. That's bad salary management for a team that is going to be limited payroll flexibility wise.
  15. Unfortunately, right now just about the only interesting thing about the Angels is the GM situation.
  16. Back on track the last two days. Keep it up guys. 24 games to go
