  1. First off, great info as usual. Reading this, as well as going back to the original thread, there are some promising things to glean, and some giant red flags. PROMISING There is no way Trout stays in his funk. He's just too good. With Ohtani starting to round into form, and the addition of Upton, the middle of the line up should improve. I say "should" because Upton is going to have major ring rust and it's going to take awhile for him to get going, just like Ohtani. LaStella and Fletcher have been pleasant surprises, but can they sustain these numbers over 162 games? Buttrey (aside from one game), and Robles have pitched pretty well over the course of the year. Bedrock has pitched well lately (did I really post that?), as has Ramirez. But the innings are piling up on these guys and, like point #2, can this be sustained over 162 games? The addition of Simmons from the IL is going to help, and the addition of Middleton to the pen should help. RED FLAGS I'll give Rengifo a pass since he's a rookie, but Lucroy has really disappointed. His offensive production is bad, but his defense is worse. I'm on board with giving Kevan Smith more opportunites until proven otherwise. Skaggs, Pena, and Heaney need to step up at some point. Heaney had a good outing at Tampa Bay but the bullpen let it slip. But honestly, these guys have consistently given the team less than 5 innings on nearly every start. That's bullshit. Anderson and Garcia have really been frustrating. Anderson flashed potential last year and maybe it was fools gold but I bought in. Now he looks like he's lost all confidence in not only his fastball, but his breaking ball has really regressed. Garcia seems like a head case. If we only had a pitching coach that might be able to straighten these guys out? This team has had 16 opportunites to get to .500 and has failed in every opportunity. The Angels simply cannot get on a consistent winning streak. They will need to win 3 in a row (as of today) just to break over .500 but as totdprods points out, the pattern for the season is inconsistency. I try and hold out hope we can catch that 2nd Wild Card but the Angels have proven so far that they have difficulty beating teams in the AL West on a consistent basis. I shudder to think of what's going to happen in August and September when the majority of our games are against division foes.
  2. My wife, who is a lot like your wife but sits next to me at a lot of home games, says last night. “Why is this guy in? He sucks.” And I said “don’t worry babe. Hopefully in the morning, we’ll read that he’s been shipped out.” And poof....just like that we got our wish. Don’t let the door hit ya, where the good Lord split ya, Cody
  3. Stop voting for him for the All Star Game!!!! Hes clearly not worthy of this game!!!! Vote Vogelbach, he’s clearly more worthy!!!!
  4. Just turned it on. Missed most of it. Seems like I didn’t miss much from your post
  5. Hoping for another 5-3 win. That would be 3 final scores out of 4. come in Robles. Close this one out like you did against the Dodgers
  6. Most surprising? Surprised no one is talking about this sweet giveaway next week.
  7. Or Kings Hockey for that matter?
  8. Again, this thread right here is proof positive that this site is awesome. Thanks totdprods, and all the others for the outstanding research and information that goes into threads like this.
  9. I sure wish I knew what all this means Angelsjunky. This is what is must be like for Ohtani when he tries to read a menu in America. I'm assuming it means Mike Trout is really good. Thanks for the research and info.
  10. Apparently they don't have any japanese people in St Petersburg.
  11. Must have sprayed that Purple Spray they use on soccer players and Paul Pierce to make a miracle recovery
