  1. I didn't want to say anything Lou, but that was one hell of a game by the Lady Bruins
  2. If Ausmus would have pulled Canning at 85 pitches and brought in Cody Allen at 2-0, the end result would not have changed at all. It would still be 4-0. Probably more.
  3. In his last couple starts, it was the bullpen who really failed Canning. Tonight, he was his own worst enemy for the exact reason you stated. Got behind in the count and had to throw strikes. He's got good stuff and I like him also, but tonight was not his night
  4. Khris Davis is 11-23 this year against the Angels for a .478 batting average. Along with 3 home runs. He sure loves himself some Angel pitching
  5. The Angels lead all of baseball into GIDP's. Just over 1.15 per game. No other MLB team has an average over 1.00.
  6. Keuchel turned down a 5 year/90 million dollar offer from the Astros before testing the free agent market. According to Bleacher Report, he has turned down several 1 and 2 year deals already, as he is seeking a long term deal My question would be.....what would the Angels have to offer him for him to come to Anaheim? Seeing as he has already spurned a couple 1 or 2 year deals, how would the Angels figure on getting him?
  7. Recent Angel killer Khris Davis is back in the line up, so we got that going for us.
  8. Wrigley is a nostalgic old stadium. A lot like Fenway Park. You should know what to expect when you go there. I've been to almost every stadium in MLB, and of all the "old" stadiums, Wrigley was the best. I actually liked walking around Wrigleyville and hitting the pubs in the area. For the record, Angel Stadium is an "old" stadium also. While it has it's charm, it's pretty old also when compared to Petco, PNC Park, Oracle Park in San Francisco and those stadiums are pretty fun. I would have suggested taking the train in to Wrigley and avoiding the traffic.
  9. I agree with most of this. I appreciate what he’s done so far this year. He’s easily been the most clutch hitter so far, and along with LaStella has been a pleasant surprise. He doesn’t have “great” defensive abilities, he has good defensive abilities and his arm is adequate. But the body of your post is correct. He’s been a great surprise and I hope he can keep it up for 162 games.
  10. Ty Buttrey came to play tonight. Straight gas with no wasted pitches. Kind of like Cam does. Except not
  11. Whatever it is, I hope there is a defribillator close by. That dude/girl is a heart attack waiting to happen
  12. Add Calhoun to the list of guys who have had a really crappy night at the plate
  13. I love how Buttrey goes right after the hitters. He doesn't mess around. I love that mentality.
  14. Brad Ausmus's message to Bob Melvin by pitching Cody Allen in a tie game.
  15. Step out to take a leak, and it's 4-4. Remember in the 2nd inning when Albert popped up to 3rd with the bases loaded?
  16. That.....and because our entire offense tonight is David Fletcher and Tommy LaStella. Drink that in
  17. The Angel offense doesn't leave the pitching staff much wiggle room very often.
  18. What a stupid challenge. I hope that comes back to bite Melvin and the A's
  19. But do the A's announcers give you the "Hyundai Key to the Game?" Journey's Keeping it Right, like Gubie does? Come on Lou. That shit is legit
