Even when Montgomery was pitching well in the playoffs he always seemed one hanging curveball from getting hammered and that's a feeling I already get 2 out of 5 games with the Angels

Not a young man. RFK Jr would be 71 by inauguration day

If it were my decision I'd have made Reggie wear an Orioles cap on his plaque just for spite but watching Reggie do anything was more memorable than the others so he gets my vote

I guess "perils and violence" sounds more sympathetic than "we just never managed to figure how to compete with online toy retailers"

Looking at the schedule. @arch stanton@deepdriveWouldn't it be funny if it were the Ducks to stop Edmontons record breaking winning streak? It's no sure thing in the first place, since they have to get through the Knights to tie the record.
That would be great. And concerning trading Fowler, those mid-tier contracts are getting squeezed out so they may have to eat 2 mil a year to get it done but he'd be a strong 2nd pairing guy for a good team. You guys have seen Lindholm and Manson, and to a lesser degree Montour, be more productive and help good teams win when they're not asked to be top pair players and are in systems that allow them to play more aggressively in the O-zone

They are absolutely using and spinning it for their political advantage. The situation at the border is also terrible and illegal immigration needs to be dealt with.
Have you explained this to anyone besides the 9 or so posters here in the Spin Forum?

There was a time when I actually enjoyed professional football. During that time I was a fan of the Denver Broncos. They had a fantastic owner who did what it took to put a winner on the field until he sadly slipped into dementia which created several years of uncertainty around the franchise. As we watch these questionable decisions be made with no clear vision detectable I really truly hope we don’t witness the same thing here

Too much reliance on Talbot and even though they're deep they don't have any true elite forward talent

This isn't really a secret among Avs fans. He's basically take the middle six winger job that Tatar was supposed to do and creates some net front presence until Nichushkin gets back

@deepdrive Yeah, I can definitely get on board with some of these trade scenarios.

Lehkonen is cleared to play tonight so that $5.7 is actually $1.2. It's going to take some retention or taking salary back to get anything done with the Avs

Well, looks like we know the 5 now. Or is it just coincidence? @arch stantonhthankfully makar isn't one. @deepdrive and I'm glad comtois or steel wasn't involved.
The 5 taking leaves.

He’s 34 and has a ton of mileage. These things happen

It's just frustrating to us mere mortals that someone can throw high 90's and isn't really hellbent on maximizing that talent

I just want to add a little to the conversation around signing an impact player this year. While it's true that adding a MOTO bat or TOR arm doesn't necessarily get you out of 4th place this year, as long as it's a multi-year deal it gets you closer for next year and the year after. You never know when things might click and go your way if you have some talent on the roster but it's never gonna happen if we're thinking year to year with all the one year deals for middling veterans

@deepdrive Regarding Zellweger. I think they will develop him in the AHL one more year. And by develop, I mean bulk up. Gulls bio, he's 5'9", 175. That is tiny for the NHL. I'd be more comfortable with him up in the 200 range.
This is basically Sam Girard size. Girard loses netfront battles but he's actually pretty good overall defensively because he's a great skater with a quick stick and he's also great at d-zone exits and o-zone entries. With the right partner that can be a strong middle pair guy
