  1. Also considering that we may go to a 6 man rotation, our roster is going to e different and we may try to get a guy that can play more than just one position. SO between these second base avaialbe, it would be a good bet that our starting 2nd baseman next year is either Cosart or Harrison.
  2. *I think the chances of us getting Herendez are pretty slim due to the price take. We'll most likely look at either Kinsler or Harrison and personally I am really high on getting Harrison. 2 sign reed to a 3-4 yr contract worth 30- 32 mill, than get Mcgee for 2yrs 14 mil. I'll think we should wait out and see if Moore's price drops.
  3. Here's a 17 min long videos of Ohtani, Enjoy!!!. Got say the spilt looks filithy!!!!!! and that pitch at 3:23, good luck to the hitters.
  4. Found a 17 min long videos of him pitching lol. But from looking at at it he starts of around 93-95 in the games and gains that velocity throughout the game. Plus is easy and lose 95+, the split looks filithy, slider good down in the zone. Command looks good and that 68 miles per our curve (3.23) lol to the hitters.
  5. 1. Get Jhay from the pirates. Heard that pirates aren't asking much so, Castillo for Harrison 2. Sign CC 2 yr 17 mil (second year is a option) 3. Trade Jim Johnson to the Mets for Harvey ( Worth a risk, start him in Bp but if he returns to form put him in the rotation, 4. Sign McGee 2yrs 14 mil Lineup- 2n- Jhay Rf- Calhoun Cf- Trout Lf- Upton 1st- Pujols/ Cron Dh- Ohtan/pujols ( flip flop with pujols and cron) SS- Simba 3rd- Valbuena C- Maldando Rotation 1. Richards 2. Skaggs 3. Ohtani 4. CC ( Last 3 years 3.57 era away) 5.Heaney 6. Shoe/ Brid / Harvey Bullpen Closer- Bedrock ( Hurt most last year, had an era of 0 before getting hurt small sample tho, but has the stuff and has shown to dominate). Setup- Blake Setup- Kay/ Harvey Lefty- McGee/Alvarez Long- Jc Bench- Cowart, Juan and EYJ
  6. That really is a big contract, so how much of it would we have to eat for a good prospect. Angels- Ellsbury plus Nick Solak Yankees- 30 mil we are paying Ellsbury around 10 mil for the next 3 years.
  7. I am on the train to bring in CC. I think this is more than just so CC can give us innings and pitch, it's more of trying to bring in a mentor for Skaggs and Heanay, similar to how pujols is for the hitters. Quite frankly i wouldn't really care about the numbers he's put for us, but more on how a future Hall- Famer can help improve Heaney, Skaggs and Ohtani next year but also help a few of our young studs in the Minor during spring training..
  8. Interesting do you think that Barria can be 2, personally i have his ceiling as that of a 3, hopefully i'm wrong. Also i think Chris is a real deal as well, yes he struggled but they were few things that i liked out of him, 57 K and only allowing 2 hrs and 16 BB and he's only 19 and at Single A already. Ps: i've read a report bit back about him and a scout said he may have better stuff than Morejon ( #69 on top 100). I really excited about Chris and how he progress thru next year and hopefully he can limit the hits allowed.
  9. Interesting could apply that one of our starter is on the move
  10. I agree with both of your guys points but I feel as if the trade offers you guys are listing are just straight for one of these young starters. My proposal involves us taking a bad contract as Well, such as markasis or Wilson Ramos which lowers the trade value . We know that the rays want to lower the payroll and we've seen the braves doing the same.so we may not have to include Jones or Adell.
  11. The off-season is finally picking up, we probably made the biggest acquisition with Ohtani and now we are heading to the December meeting. With that said, could/should we add another arm to the rotation? I believe that all five of the listened names will be available and i think we have a good chance to acquire one of these guys. So the three most possible choices are Julio Teheran, Chris Archer and Odorizzi. We could trade for one of these guys if we take on either Ramos or Markakis salaries. With Odorizzi beginning the easiest and Archer the toughest. What kinda of package would it include to take these guys? Canning, Castillo and Lund for Teheran and Markakis? Canning, Hermosillo and ward for Archer and Ramos?
  12. I would like us to get Josh Harrison, offensively I think he's similar to Simmons and he can play all over the Infield. Castillo and hermosillo for Jhay and intl bonus? Than sign either Reed, Morrow or nicalso for the Bp. And bam we have a solid team!!!
  13. I would say a combination of verlander and Serervino. The fastball is a smae grade fot these guys. I would say that verlander has the better slider, followed by ohtani, and Serervino. Buts it's a plus pitch for all three. Ohtani has the better change. This is where is gets interesting and I think the fork/ spilt is his money pitch, similar to Kershaw' s curve. The spilt is nasty, especially if a hitter is looking for 95+ fb and he throws a spilt.
  14. Personally, i believe we need a 2nd base that has decent OBP and has speed. My first choice is the ideal choice, Cesar Hernandez but, i do believe that the asking price for him is way to high. Which it should be, But i do not thinks its wise to trade a Pitching Prospect or a starter from our rotation due to the uncertainties. My second choice would be Josh Harrison, not only can he play 2nd but he can also play all around the infield with a good glove. He doesn't strike out a lot as he's yet to K over 100 times in a season, has power 16 hrs last year, BB are low but still gets on base, .339 OBP. Also he's playing in a park that is not friendly to right hand hitter, Angels stadium is a pitcher's park but for a right hand it's still good. To me Harrison sound like a player that is similar to what Simmons was in Atlanta, but with better offense and look at where Simmons is right now. On the pitching side, If Richards can stay healthy and Ohtani is at least a real good 3 or a 2 we may have a formidable 1-2 punch in the rotation, all we need is one of Shoe, Skaggs or Heaney to return to form and create the big three, ironically i think all three of these guys have the potential to solid. With our Bp and a healthy Rotation we are looking at least 90 Wins. Lineup- 2nd Jhay Rf- Calhoun Cf- Trout Lf- Upton 1st- Pujols DH- Ohtani SS- Simmons 3rd- Valbuena C- Maldando Rotaion 1. Richards 2. Skagss 3.. Ohtani 4. SHOE 5. hEANEY
  15. How about Josh Harrison at 2nd? shouldn't cost much, he had a decent year last year and can play all over the infield.
  16. I think calhoun stays, there still a question mark on how Ohtani will do as a hitter. I don't know about Cron quite yet we'll be making a move for a 2nd baseman a few Bp guys aswll.
  17. Richards Skaggs Ohtani ( Simply due to the adjustments) Heaney Shoe 2B- ? Rf- Calhoun CF- Trout LF- Upton 1st- Pujols Dh- Ohtani SS- Simmons 3rd- Valbuena C- Maldonado
  18. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, i called it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I would not do that, i' d rather take a chance and keep these guys in our system, if Jones hits like he did this past year or improves, his values only goes up, same for Crod. Also it's not guarantee that we get Ohtani. We could probably make small trades to add to the bonus, for example go back to the Marlins and tell them well take Edison Volquez and his money but you have to include the rest of your bonus or trade magnifico to the Baltimore FOR 250K
  20. I think this move by Jerry was based straight on desperation. With how things went down yesterday, I think Ohtani decision is done to us and the marliners and his agent probably told Jerry and Billy to get a bit more money. The reason I think this trade was done in desperation, was simply I think Jerry freaked out when we got the bonus and knowing we need a 2nd baseman and that the Marlins were willing to include intl bonus in a trade freaked him out more. He pretty much had to get this trade done, including the fact that Cruz may be playing left field, meant they should have gotten a better defensive CF, and there were better abd cheaper options in the market.but due to our case in needing a 2nd baseman this was done.
  21. interesting that we gave up Pearson, looks like we have a really good chance with Ohtani or may look to sign others.
  22. I'm really liking the part of us being quiet throughout the Ohtani sweepstakes. 2 reasons i think this could be wonderful for us is; 1. we tend to make a big splash when we are quite ( Pujols and Hamilton). 2. it shows Othani that we're not always in the bright lights or are trying to draw attention. Similarly to what i feel Ohtani is looking for.
  23. So I'm guessing that we used some of next year's pool bonus for him and still have this year's for ohtani.
  24. So buster onley just reported that we have an agreement with Maitain.
  25. well there goes my pick for the top Bp option for us to get.
