  1. He has shown tremendous strength in the outfield this week. I wasn’t sure on the guy when he was called up. But he was starting to grow on me, other then his bat. I wouldn’t mind if he stuck around with this organization tho. Mickey Mantle didn’t tear the cover off the ball when he was first called up. He’s one guy I would like to see in September.
  2. Any chance the Angels can acquire Kimbrel? I mean he has one outing since June 14th. I’m obviously kidding. But the Sox keep blowing teams out this way and they won’t need a shutdown closer.
  3. You are the minority. I remember reading the forum in November and 90% of people on here trusted Billy’s ability to get under the rated targets.
  4. Maybe the time is to go after one of these type pitchers? I hate to mortgage the farm but we have a surplus of outfielders, and this makes us an instant contender for the Wild Card spot and a real chance of winning it while facing either Sale or Severino. But truthfully this winter was a no win situation for Billy Eppler. Who panned out that we’re available? Wade Davis? He still was too pricey. Our next best bet would have been Bud Norris, and nobody wanted him on this board. To me we need to pull the trigger on Britton ASAP. His stock is low and is exactly what we need, and is another lefty.
  5. That call was bad for baseball. Poor sportsmanship. Do we spike Travis next time then?
  6. Sorry if I missed anything? But what’s the plan with Skaggs?
  7. This is why I’m not ready to write off this team. If the likes of Calhoun. Louis, and Albert can on base on a regular basis. This is a very dangerous team.
  8. Remember when Billy Eppler was the best GM in baseball? Relax.
  9. We got this guy for nothing. He might be the streakiest player in all of baseball. A guy I wouldn’t mind seeing hearing up in October guys!!
  10. Truthfully how cool would it be if we got moose for less then what we would get him for in free agency (compensation.) We need some relievers.... and if we can get some relievers for more then just this year. I’m on board. I would also like to keep Kinsler. Bench position or whatever. I just think his experience and defending is still an asset.
  11. What’s up with this team??Just a slump or what? Not looking good right now.
  12. I made the comment that I have more faith in Albert in the 9th then I do Mike. I’m not a baseball expert OBVIOUSLY especially with that comment. It’s unpopular but Albert has got it done in the past, Mike hasn’t got it done at home in walkoff fashion since 2015. Ill own that comment I made, it’s unpopular, but it’s my opinion. Maybe for the vast majority you are glad I’m not Mike Scioscia.
  13. I love this lineup. Give Trout and Ohtani as much AB’s as possible! Unconventional but I like it.
  14. I feel like if you criticize Mike Trout on here, you get crusified. I hate how in today’s society expecting or wanting something more from somebody is the worst thing you can say to a person, but to me it’s a compliment. With two outs, bases juiced in the 9th I want Mike Trout to come through, I expect him to come through.... I can see you do too. David Ortiz, Tiger Woods. Those two guys define the term “clutch.” When you need something to get done, those are the guys you want. Those guys made memories. Mike hasn’t shown that in his career... YET.
  15. I’ll try to keep my thoughts to myself after I almost got ran off the forum with my comments earlier this year about Trout’s “clutchness” I didn’t realize his last walk off came in 2015?? We all know he is the best player in baseball. He’s a joy to watch. But I don’t think anyone remembers a David Ortiz walkoff from May. They just remember the multiple walkoffs in October. Im hoping Mike gets his chance this October.
  16. True. I said this multiple times. I’d rather have Albert up then Mike up with the game on the line multiple times. It might be dang unpopular but nobody can deny the fact that Albert gets it done with runners in scoring position and in these cases avoids the dreaded shifts. Hahahhaha
  17. Yea I don’t know. Some other guys definitely would have more knowledge around this then I do. But I just don’t see another option as good as Holland avalible. I would have said Britton but his off-season didn’t go according to plan. Getting Holland would be like getting that lawn mower you desperately need. He/it’s not worth the price but you know what your getting and you’ll use it. Sometimes you just have to pull the trigger.
  18. The silver/grey outline really takes away from a terrific script
  19. The jerseys have a nice starting point. I’m just not a fan of the red on red. Either we need more blue or more white. The red on the script and on the hat just gets lost. With our homes and aways they would be a 100000 better without the silver. They should look look something like this. (Unfortunately it’s not my concept)
  20. It seems like everyone else wants to see him fail.
  21. Hey. If he’s brutal the whole year and he’s brilliant in October I’d still call that a successful year. In all seriousness I love the points, and eh most of us know what type of how Kershaw struggled in his rookie year. It might take some time for Ohtani. Who knows.
  22. Yes. Many question marks here. Will Kinsler be a stop gap to go after someone next year? Time will tell. For that price I would have loved to see Mous at worst a bench player for us. Similar to Reddick/Beltran were last year for the Stros.
