Gallen apparently traded to Arizona, so about to find out what the cost for one of these arms was gonna be...
looks like Marlins are getting minor-league shortstop Jazz Chisholm. what do you think Totdprods?

Thor, Diaz and wheeler.

right now its doesn't look promising for JC. He's been lit up like a $2 joint

its funny how Heymans tweet turns into a full blown article on MLBTraderumors. and basically says nothing.

if we included Simmons in a package, who do you think we could get?
-
Angels just drained at that point. Goodwin and Kole shouldn't have just dropped bunts down the 3rd base line.

Even buy-low candidates to shore up the rotating cast of AAA guys at the back of the rotation could be a bigger nudge than we’re giving credit for.
You know, I can really get behind this thought. Our starting pitching started out so bad, a few decent 3, 4 or 5's, could get us just what we need. a shot at the WC. come August 1st, we'll know a lot more than we know today. going to be an interesting week, on the field and in the GM's office!

Fletcher seems to be a super utility guy waiting to happen. Could we see him start 140-150 games a season at various positions like Figgins did?
yes, definitely. You have to just keep playing Fletch. he is pure action!

I always say there is massive risk in trading fielding players for any pitchers. It is what it is. I wouldn’t trade Adell for any pitcher. Period. But since we do have Adell, and Adams and Knowles and others I guess I would trade Marsh for an elite pitcher. Which Snydergaard no doubt is.
My package for him is Marsh, Thaiss and Soriano. It’s a lot, it may not be enough to get it done. But I think that’s what the Angels can afford. The next best target I guess would be Stroman. I’d offer similar for him.
I like the idea of Stroman. Be willing to give up Marsh plus whatever for him. Think he'll be a great clubhouse fit, not hurt year in and year out, has put up decent / above average numbers in the AL east.
-
No Syndergaard please. he's been hurt to much the last few years. Huge risk if you ask me, which we can't afford. If we trade Marsh, Barra and Thiass and Noah ends up hurt, we suck pitching wise again and farm back to where it was a couple of years ago. Lose, lose, situation.

This thread is mostly sarcastic by the way. He has been pretty bad in Minnesota. Would still easily take him over Luis Garcia.
Garcia has a sexy 96-97 mph heater. both still stink one way or another...
-
Why? we let him go for a reason, so did Minnesota. sure, he had a good couple of months, but not so good recently....

last 3 weeks of the season is our toughest part of the schedule. Yankees, A's, Astros(2) and rays...UGH!

We caught a break in 2002 but Scott Spiezio and a few others had to make it happen when all seemed lost.
Still the greatest game (and Game 7 of course) in Angels history.
Lets break this down further. Scott's at bat in the 6th game, was the greatest at bat in club history.

Here's hoping that these kinds of one year acquisitions (including the amount of money) are now a thing of the past.
sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. don't think any GM is even close to 100% on signing. I would not rule out one-year, fingers crossed for a bounce back, type of contract, just maybe not 11 million
-
We should bring him up immediately. see if he shines and if so, see what we could get for him.

was anybody left at the game to witness this?
