no way. trout's busy fishing and getting fat. no way he'll be in shape to play CF next year

unless we trade him to the phillies, fulfilling his lifelong dream to play in front of his home crowd.

Tank - maybe Trout will go vegan? that way he won't be so fat next year.

Diamondbacks Part Ways With Pitching Coach Mike Butcher

By Jeff Todd | September 30, 2019 at 3:12pm CDT

The Diamondbacks have announced that they will not retain pitching coach Mike Butcher. Ken Rosenthal and Robert Murray of The Athletic first tweeted the news.

Butcher had been in his role since the start of the 2016 campaign, so he pre-dated manager Torey Lovullo and the organization’s primary front office leadership. He has previously served as the pitching coach for the Rays and Angels.

Though he was able to survive the major 2016-17 organizational shakeup, and help a few notable pitchers turn in quality campaigns, Butcher evidently wasn’t seen as the right voice moving forward. His departure isn’t part of a broader wave of change, as the remainder of the 2019 coaching staff is expected to return for 2020.

it was interesting to see the process. on our tour, we got to hold a couple of the bats fresh off the rack, including one of arods. you also have the option to order a bat to your own specifics.

my favorite part was seeing all of the signature stamps they use. they had a special display for players who had been inducted into the HOF using a louisville slugger bat. that was pretty impressive to me.

I think this is great stuff Tank!

Will be interesting to see how the Angels handle the situation if indeed someone in the organization was involved. Obviously would be fired, but i'd be interested to see how the organization handles it. Could be a major crackdown on their players to make sure stuff like this doesn't get in their hands. I thought players had roommates?

According the Jeff Fletcher, Major Leaguers do not have roommates when traveling on the road.
