Never know if I will become a Cowart fan but I will still say he is a good player if he puts up a good season or two. I was an Angels fan but people made a fuss about it since I was a Dodgers fan as well. Ex Angels/Dodgers fan now.
I think it could be because Trout is playing so well at Angels Stadium so the park factor is screwed. Or maybe the Angels pitchers give up so many gopher balls at home that the park factor is all inflated.
337/.457.700 if he play for the Astros and not the Angels. Trout's slash line this year is .339/.459/.700. You can't tell me that a bandbox like Minute Maid is an harder park to hit than Angels Stadium. Baseball Reference is so stupid at times and this is one of those times.
In a do or die month of August, the Angels are playing for a do or die game, unless the Astros have a big and historic collapse. Don't like the Angels' chance of winning that WC game if they keep on letting Pujols and Valbuena hit ahead of Simmons.
Him and Petit were/are of the few unsung heros of this season. In response to AS mentioning what a great find Petit was, just wanted to give Hernandez credit for the job he did this season as an Angel as well.
Just saw someone tweet that Norris is the new Frieri. Off on that one because Frieri was actually solid in his first season as an Angel. I remember him striking out like everyone in his first year with the team. Dude was like automatic for awhile.
