Another weak at bat by Albert. Even during his least productive season as an Angel prior to this rich man Brandon Wood-like season, he was still productive.

I don't know what will happen to this place the day MS decides to bat Pujols behind someone not named Trout.

Bridgwell has to be the guy who stops the losing streak. I would never imagine saying Parker Bridgewell has to be the guy in the starting rotation to do that. But he has pitched well so far and he can show the Orioles that they made a mistake by letting him go.

I think if Altuve slumps in August and September while Trout continues to put up godly numbers, even by his standards, the AL MVP race is going to be quite interesting. I know a lot of people will say that Trout missed like 2 months with injury but that doesn't mean that Trout is disqualified from winning the MVP. Put it this way: if Altuve has 200 more plate appearances than Trout but has something like a .240/.300/.390 slash line with those 200+ extra plate appearances, does he deserves that much credit in the MVP vote?

Trout's slash line in August is so much better than Altuve's. At the rate they are going, Trout's winning the AL MVP this season...................again!

Angels traded for him because of his great defense, not for his bat. Whatever he gave them offensively would be a bonus. He's been great on defense for the Angels, albeit, that was not good pitch selection on the pitch that hit Jones last night, which then led to the grand slam from the POS Machado.

Don't forget the contributions of Petit, Parker, and David Hernandez, the ex Angel.

But at least the Royals lost tonight. Angels need to capitalize on it though.
