    Okay, great winning percentage so far in the month of August these upcoming games against the teams that they are looking at in the WC race is super important. Winning 5 of 8 would be a victory, I think, against Baltimore and Seattle.

    And I remember the Yankees coming into their series against the Angels in Anaheim hot and lost 2 out of 3. Same with the Red Sox.

    When I think of Don Baylor as a player, I think of him as an Angel a lot more than the O's. And deservingly so, because his best years came with the Halos. Oh, and AL MVP in 1979 as a member of the Angels.

    Look on the bright side, they're still 4-2 in August for a .667 winning percentage. I did say that they needed to have a good August to keep their WC hopes alive. So far, so good, even with the tough loss yesterday. But they will need guys like Pujols and Calhoun to do something, anything, this month to continue on having a good month. Especially Pujols, ever since I praised him for having a great first game in August, he is back to hitting like Brandon Wood again.

    RIP Big Don! He was a very good Angel. First MVP in team history.

    Still 4-2 in August. Like I said, August is a do or die month for the Angels. They don't have the team to go on a big run in September if they are like 5-6 games out of the last WC spot. Could prove me wrong but unlikely. Still a great record so far this month but this loss to the Athletics is really disgusting.

    Pujols will retire at some point next season as soon as his career batting average is in danger of falling below .300. Then, it will be Valbuena who hits one spot behind Trout for the rest of the season. I am thinking in July that that will happen.

    I am sure this loss is not as bad as game 2 of the 2005 ALCS. Hated Pierzenski until 2009.
