Could make a case that Trout should have 4-5 MVP's right now and not just 2. Either way, Cabrera and Donaldson were great during their MVP seasons.

Surprise that Guerra is not on the Opening Day roster. He pitched well last season.

I remember hearing about this game and I was like ,"Damn, 10 RBIs!" It was during this stretch that he played the best baseball, to me, of his career. He was killing the ball.

Umpire has already been hit by a ball when Escobar's base hit got the ump. Damn, a lot of drama in Angels game this Spring. No-hitter one game, manager getting ejected the next game, and now an umpire getting hit with a baseball on a base hit. A lot of drama in Angels games, no doubt!

If you hate/dislike Trout, you don't like the game of baseball.

2 things so far that's notable: Pujols has a home run in this game and it looks like he's ready for Opening Day. On top of that, I just watched Scioscia get ejected by the home plate umpire. Looks like the Angels are ready to start the season.

I guess Trout will be okay after all!

Outside of last year, Maybin has never had a good season with the bat. Plus, his BABIP was close to .400, and his career high in BABIP was like .330, so you expect a lot of regression. But he'll still get a lot playing time even if he doesn't have a good year with his bat because he's always had a good glove and has good speed as well. I guess it's just Spring Training. And I remember this guy named "Mike Trout" who's struggles lasted during the early part of the regular season last year and he turned out to be okay, winning another AL MVP.

I think it's just Trout AND Bonds. Bonds finished 1st or 2nd in MVP voting from 2000-2004. But he was on the roids, so not as impressive as Trout's accomplishments.

Bought so much energy to the team when he got called up that year. Great bat but what people don't talk about is that when he got on base, his speed distracted a lot of pitchers and guys like Torii, Pujols, Morales, and many others benefited from it by seeing a lot more fastballs.

Look on the bright side, Trout struggled early on last year during the regular season and he turned out to be fine and winning another MVP Award.

Best rookie season from anyone that I've ever witnessed. He was so great that year that I felt like Trout was going to have a great game at the plate each time out. I know its not possible but it felt like it. Became a Trout fan that year and still am today.

Probably not but he was really good when he pitched for the Angels. In over 40 innings, had an ERA under 3.00 and a really good WHIP as well. I think he might be the Angels unsung hero in their bullpen this season. With better defense, I think he'll have a really good 2017.

I don't trust cheaters like Ortiz. His fault for testing positive back years ago.

Then again, dude used steroids. Most likely used roids last season. Hank Aaron, I think put up a .300/.400/.600 slash line at like age 37. I guess it's possible. You just have to believe it!

Pujols' BABIP has NOT reached the .300 mark in any of his 5 seasons with the Angels. I feel like one of these years, he won't hit into a lot of bad luck like what BABIP states that he is. I think if his BABIP creeps to .300, a .300/.400/.600 slash line in a season as an Angels is possible, since he still hits a bunch of home runs.

Potential bust for an Angels hitter might be Maybin. Last year was his first good season with the bat but he had a BABIP of .383. Before that, his career high was a .331 BABIP in 2011 with the Padres. When you combine a really high BABIP with his first good year in 5 seasons with a lot of plate appearances, he might regress big time.

Pujols has become underrated to me. All of Pujols' 5 seasons with the Angels up to this point has been solid. He might not be living up to the expectations that a lot of fans had when the Angels signed him but he's still a good hitter. Does not hit for high average anymore but gets on base at an okay clip and can still for tremendous pop.

Trout is playing, worth watching!

So much potential if he stays healthy. We saw his ceiling in 2014. 13-4 with a 2.61 ERA.

50/50. Either you trade for him or you don't trade for him. But his whole career has been inconsistent. He's put up 2 great seasons (2009 and 2015), a bunch of really good seasons (2004, 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2014) and a bunch of mediocre/bad seasons (2005, 2010, 2011, and 2016), so it is tough to tell with this guy. I don't think he would do well being back in the AL , even though he has had some success in the American League. Dude's over 30, about a time when most pitchers are in decline.

The Troutster is back in the lineup! The dude who the Angels are facing ain't a nobody either. Guerra was really good last season with the Brew Crew. Yup, the man who makes shoes and good starts on the mound is back.

It seems like every free agents the Angels sign becomes busts. Outside of like Vlad and Torii, everyone else just plays poorly for the Angels after signing with them. Hamilton, Wilson (only 1 good year in 4 seasons in which he pitched for the Angels), Gary Matthews Jr., Joe Blanton, etc.

The Price Ain't Right. What a big disappointment that Price has been with the Red Sox so far.
