  1. I would root for you to change your profile picture. You wanted Scioscia to be gone after just one game?
  2. Of everyone, it was Maybin and Espinosa who keyed the rally. Expect the unexpected.
  3. Expect the unexpected. The guys that helped the Angels rallied to win their first game of the season were guys who everyone did not expect. Maybin and Espinosa. Expect the unexpected.
  4. Angels going to have another bad April. Always digging themselves a hole by the start of May it seems.
  5. Angels bullpen already having issues and it's just the 2nd game of the season.
  6. Be funny what your response would be if the Angels win the World Series this year with Scioscia as manager.
  7. Khris Davis should be called the "Bud Norris of hitters". Angels killer alert.
  8. Hey, the Angels got swept by the Mariners in 2014 during their opening series of the season and ended with 98 wins. Granted they got swept by KC in the postseason but still..........
  9. I am going to guess it is because he complains on every strike that he thinks should have been a ball and his defense is not good. But he can hit though so I will take his bad behavior if he can hit, which he can.
  10. Angels defense, especially in the outfield is going to be tremendous this year. Pitchers should benefit from that this year.
  11. Depends, it depends. If your defense is that good, the manager will play you. Ask Mario Mendoza and his "Mendoza Line" batting average.
  12. Of everybody on the team, it's Trout that grounds into the team's first double play of the year. Expect the unexpected guys!
  13. Where's Guerra? Just kidding, yeah, he should be on the Angels Opening Day roster. He was one of the few arms in the bullpen that pitched well last year. Great control.
  14. Didn't Mathis have 3 hits today? Dude sure looks like he's going to win the batting title this year
  15. After a hot spring, a small sample size? I don't know man. Franklin has been decent at best with the bat and even though he put up good numbers last year, it was less than 200 plate appearances.
  16. Didn't love 2014 Trout but still loved 2015 Trout as a player. I guess it's because he got on base at a great clip, over 40% of the time. Big fan of OBP. But love 2013 Trout the most of all his first five full seasons up to date. If he had gotten one more hit that year though, he would have batted over .300 at .301. So I guess, that near miss at .300 still lingers in my head. And somewhat the stolen base numbers were low by Trout's standards.
  17. One of these years, man, I see Trout putting up a .340/.450/600 slash line with 30+ stolen bases. One hot streak away from doing that. Never Doubt, Trout!
  18. Really, Scioscia could have done way better than this. Nothing against Nolasco but Richards should have gotten the start. Best pitcher with the highest ceiling on the Angels.
  19. It'll be Richards, Shoemaker, Skaggs, Nolasco (probably not in that order but they are all locks to be in the starting rotation) and another pitcher. Personally, I think the last spot in the Angels starting rotation will go to Jesse Chavez. In 4 starts this spring, he's posted an ERA under 3.00 (2.51) in 14.1 innings pitched. In 2014, his breakout season with Oakland, he had a 3.44 ERA and pitched 125.2 innings as a starter before pitching out of the bullpen for Oakland the rest of the season. So he has shown that he can pitch solid baseball as a starter. WHo do you think will get the last spot in the Angels starting rotation?
  20. Trout will have his first season with an OPS of 1.000 or better with 40 stolen bases. Just one little hot streak away from doing that like every season. That's one of my bold predictions this season. The other two are Pujols putting up his first .800+ OPS season since 2012 and JC Ramirez being the Angels best reliever this season. Dude was rally good after getting traded over from the Reds last season with an ERA under 3.00 in like over 40 innings pitched. And I think #5 is actually a nice prediction. He pitched good baseball after getting traded over from the Twins. Should benefit from pitching at a pitchers' park behind a better defense this year.
  21. All I have to say is the Angels bullpen has the potential to be good this year. Bedrosian was great last year and Street has a good track record in his career with many terrific seasons as closer and JC Ramirez looked good after coming over from the Reds last year. But should never have left out Guerra out of the Opening Day roster.
  22. Albert hits way better with RISP than when no one is on base. Just drove in 2 more RBIs on a double. And Maybin with a hit! Yes, Maybin! Finally, Chavez has pitched a dandy today. He looks like he might be in the starting rotation.
